  2. just wondering why you find the product no good and what do you consider better? i prefer not to use fibre glass for various reasons but thats just me so ide be interested in your thoughts......
  3. depends how efective you want it to be. all the recommendations specify using tape for the price of a couple of rolls of tape and a little more work might aswell do it properly. you will have piece of mind and will not have to worry about the edges deteriorating. the insulation will only be as effective as the quality of the installation.

  6. hello ive got a couple of friends that are dooing this study they are both french ive spoken to my girlfriend who was at art school with them and she thinks that you will need to pass an entrance course before beeing accepted into a good school this will be in french. you might be able to work something out as a foreign student with the help of your present school. if you send me an email address we can try andget you some addresses of schools and some more information so that you can get a better idea if this is possible and how to go about it.

  10. never had much time for most of the brits here ive happily paid french artisans worked with french artisans and had french friends thats why i came to france maybe if some of the brits tried learning the language a bit and stopped assosciating with other brits they might start to see the merits of the french artisans lifestyle and culture if you dont like the french way then go back to england

  12. and led bulbs will fit into a normal 12volt spotlght fitting?
  13. when installing a 12 volt lighting system with transformers how many transformers can be connected to each  disjonter; ie if i have a transformerwith five 12v spots does this count as the maximum number of lights for each disjoncter or can i add other transformers with 12v lights to the same circut if so how do i calculate the maximum number of 12v lights to each disjonter line?
  14. no expert but yes it seems far too small normally you will need space behind and to the sides of the burner between 20 and 30 cms and space underneath for the air flow...as far as the estimate goes get a broken down costing there may be lotsof work involved in adapting your opening and chimney space to accomodate the elements of the burner and also to make the installation safe

  18. i remembered the wood he used ...right its a verander its been up 10 years and the frame is in this wood the frame holds aluminium sliding doors is exposed and has never moved he used an exotic wood called iroko ive spelt it like hes spelt it and how it sounds but i cant find any reference either in french or english so i think its been mispelt and ive tried different spellings so if anyone knows whats hes on about maybeits hickory but im really not sure apparantly its easy to find here.....ill try and verify but if any one knows more dit moi

  21. go for the weber products as they say pick your lines decide where you prefer to have the cut tiles grout diagonally and wash with water diagonallyonce it starts to dry we sometimes use a ragleage to make the base dead level and then seal it before tiling

  23. willl a timer that connects in your main electric fuse board work ?
  24. ps think i'm right in thinking that you should slide the pipes together but not twist them as this breaks down the seal or something it was explained to me but i cant remember exactly.... if anyone can go further........
