  1. I am looking to install a shower and looking to source a tray from the UK. Will the waste and trap from France connect to a UK Shower tray? Thanks in advance
  2. Hi all I am looking to board the roof/loft area and I prefer to work with timber as opposed to the metal. Does anyone know where I can purchase some CLS/Scant timber near to my area? I presume I will need to purchase treated timber? Also if yo know what is the cost per mtr.? Cheers
  3. Thanks for the reply The cold water is fine. The pressure in all the hot water taps is very low. When you initialLily turn the taps on you get a very short burst of normal pressure then it drops down to a trickle.
  4. Thanks for all the reply's The pressures in the cold is great as always. All three hot water taps are trickling. As for the mousseur, I'm not sure what or where that is, although my guess would be that it is something within the tank. Could you give me a rough idea where and what it is. Thanks again Steve
  5. Hope someone can help. Just returned to my home in Brittany after being away since August 2013. Filled the Saur 200ltr hot water tank, and switched on. All going well until I tried to turn the taps on. The water trickles out. I think I have got all the air out, but for some reason, although the water is hot it just trickles out. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks in anticipation Steve
  6. Thanks for the reply's. I will try everything and report back. I am in France again on the 19th, armed with everything to rid the home of the mice, hopefully before my family come the following week
  7. Thanks for the rerply's. I am sure they are mice as I have seen the little blighters I would love cats, but as we are only at the home 3-4 times a year we are not able to kkep them. I have tried poison and it doesn't seem to be a complete cure. We are looking for a long term solution. Anyone got any options? Thanks Again. Steve
  8. Hope this is the correct forum. I have been renovating a stone house in rural Brittany for four years now. The last couple of years I have noticed lots of mice droppings and also the mice have started destroying the furniture. I have laid traps and poison and also have a couple of plug in repellents. Neither seem to be solving the problem. They seem to live in the walls and the ceilings (newly laid plasterboard with insulation) I can hear them at night and have seen a couple during the day. I am desperate now as my wife and daughter are coming over next month for the first time in a couple of years and they won't sleep if the mice are still there. Can anyone recommend a good plug in repellent or any other deterrents? Thanks Steve

  11. That sounds very expensive. I am currently on 3 kw of electricity and need to change the tariff. The Meter also seems very old. If EDF change the meter due to the age is that my cost or theirs? I am still awaiting the reply from the email re the cost of moving etc. I will update this forum with the reply
  12. Thanks Quillan, I have sent an email to them, hopefully they will be able to answer the questions. Steve
  13. I am in the process of renovating a holiday home and have had a complete re-wire done as part of the renovation. I am looking to move the meter and upgrade the electrics from 3KW to 9KW. The box needs moving about 60cms to the side. Does anyone have any advice re cost of moving the meter and how to go about arranging for this? Cheers Steve
