1. This is a good site and saves buying a bigger dictionary! Also gives phrases, sayings etc. (Type in 'only'!!) http://www.wordreference.com/enfr/
2. Yes Chris is correct. I saw it yesterday in the supermarket and squished it through the packet. I thought it'd be like rice krispies....but it felt like polystyrene.
3.
To me saying  'er indoors is a frivolous but completely harmless term which is neither derogatory nor infers disrespect and is no more than a variation on saying "The wife/My wife" or "The OH" or "The Missus" or "Mrs Ern" or "SWMBO" etc. etc.
Again, maybe a generation thing?? Just makes me think of a wench tied to the kitchen sink serving the men folk. Nowt wrong with that i guess, just not my style!! Next time you could always vary it by saying the bit of totty indoors......[:D]
Actually Meg truth is I do quite like a good slap, but we'd best not go there I think [:$] [:D]
All you men folk need a good slap occasionally. Keeps you in your place. [Www]
4. Oooooohhhh we're about due for a new mole thread! Forum Mole Huggers unite! [:D]
5. Is it an age thing???  I don't think i've ever been referred to as a lady! (if i did, i'd look round for who they were referring to.......) I'm quite happy to be totty for a few more years...[:)].. and always felt the term was a compliment. Maybe could be seen as a bit sexist....but as I refer to good looking men folk as eye candy, all's fair!  But yep, to the lovely ladies/women on here it may seem insulting?  I think the worse insult to a lady/woman is to be called 'her indoors'....[+o(] Any man referring to his 'lady' like that deserves a slap.
6. Reading all this is confusing me even more!!! And reminding me i really ought to get on with registering myself! Fortunately i'm already in the 'system' for health, through my OH, although it may end up complicating it even more?? So planning to go and find a 'grown up' to speak to, armed with all my papers etc. Might try and speak with someone at the ANPE. Good luck Dante's Mum.  I'll post when i mange to get any info that may help, you or other people trying to register with MDA.
7.
For future use (clearly too late for Pads and J.R....[Www]) I'd like to introduce myself = je voudrais me présenter je voudrais introduire... = I'd like to enter/penetrate
I am sooooo going to accidentally on purpose use that. [:D] Just to see the reaction............then ask them to explain what i said wrong [6]
8. Saw this while looking through my catalogue the other day. Won't exactly cover the house, but would make a nice feature either side of the door.........distracting the eye. http://www.graines-baumaux.fr and in white http://www.graines-baumaux.fr Otherwise maybe find some local youngsters with cans of spray paint to decorate the house for you for free. [:D]

Had a look at a different garden centre last week and could only find the white stuff. [:(] Online so far have found these 3 places http://www.graines-baumaux.fr/catalogue.php?cat=1&sscat=3 http://www2.meillandrichardier.com/fr/ASPERGE-VERDI-f-4268-43.html http://www.willemsefrance.fr Does anyone have a variety to recommend? My veggie book doesn't list any of these above and a Google search hasn't helped! And due to the fact they're going to be around for a while and are expensive, i want to make sure i get super lovely ones! [:)]
10. It was very exciting pads (for a saddo like me)! About 5 lots came over. The first i heard was all the noise and looked over towards the woods and slowly saw a cloud of them appear over the tops of the trees, then they came and flew right over my head. I had the camera in the field with me as i'd just been taking some piccies of the 'ground works' i'm doing over there. They are stunning to watch. [:)]
11. About flipping time!  I even did a jolly little dance and waved at them.[:D]
12. Yep i'll have to to that then! I did want to buy some official known cultivar ones for this year then propagte from those for next year but shop bought ones will have to do. Still like to know where foxy saw them in the catalogues though! Did read this the other day http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine/vegging-out/growing-sweet-potatoes_12131.html

Couldn't find any in Jardiland yet! But found them here Anyone know how their price compares to markets/garden centres?
14. I also want to grow sweet potatoes this year. Having just looked through my Graines Baumaux and T&M catalogues I can't find them. So did a forum search and found this thread! [blink] Am i being a thicko!! Stoopid paper catalogue thingies, us youngsters can't cope with such old fashioned things. [Www]
15.
Bugger, I knew I had got it wrong, it should have been stiletto's for the pelvic floor muscles, not the other way round. I've spend nineteen years since the sprog's birth trying to get them back again (the floor muscles). Looks' like it's back to painful feet - a choice between that or crossing my legs each time i sneeze or laugh!
That's me put off having kiddies then! Not sure whats more frightening the 'sneezing' bit or having to wear stiletto's........[:'(]
16. Yep a good idea.......... if there are enough 'artists' in forum land????
17. Cheers Artsole...got that noted....i have now spent the last hour under a swamp of MDA windows.........[blink]  Hopefully it'll all start to make some sense soon!! [:)]
18. No i blinking well didn't. AND i was outside all day. Bovvered. [:(]
19. Well i cut the grass! And was all hot and got some sun on my shoulders and arms [:)] lovely........although my neighbour came and told me off for wearing a vest as apparently i'd catch a cold..[blink]......it did cross my mind to put shorts on too! Early Feb.......crazy Saw a load of them wee black and red gendarme beasties. No cranes spotted. [:(] They must be avoiding me.
20.
Charente (près de 500 grues en 12 vols entre 14 et 16 h).
Doh!  I must have been on a tea break!! Thanks crispy pea! That has made me smile!!! I am so sad when they leave and so excited on their return!! Is this unusually early? Are we in for a good summer......any hints yet? I shall be on crane lookout tomorrow. [:)]
21. I don't iron. Ever. Don't even know where the iron is or if it works. And we don't own a ironing board. [:)]
22. I did think about it today! Just how much fun is cutting grass, i love it! [:)]
23. Nope it was me being a thicko artsole! [:)] Had another quick look on the site last night, not sure what form i need as there are a few. [blink] My brain is not in admin mode at the moment, so I'll sit down and tackle it properly when i have got some good piccies together. All i want to do is make stuff......not all this iccky paperwork, but gotta be done! I shall shout at myself to get on with it. [:D] I'm an Artist blacksmith/ metalworker. But for the next year or so am planning mainly sculptural/ arty stuff as opposed to architectural metalwork, hence not wanting to register as an artisan at this point. Thanks raindog! [:)]
24. What another beautiful day! Bunked off for the afternoon and did dome digging in my veggie patch and absorbing some sunshine. Perfect soul food is digging! Should be available on the N.H.S [:)] Had some crocus up for a few weeks now and today noticed some grape hyacinths starting to show their little faces. This time of year is like natures alarm clock just went off........you know its still going to hit the snooze button a few more times, but it's beginning to slowly wake up. Ab, stop fibbing you didn't see any cranes. Anyway 2 is a rubbish amount, you need a hooge flock of 'em all gabbling away to each other. Stop cheating. Its naughty. Mrs House, you are totally going off topic now. [:D]
25. oopsie, sorry.........in the sunny Charente! No-one else feeling the spring in the air yet?
