1. Hum not too sure about him pads. Looks like he's been at the chip fat. Wonder how much the tan cost! Off to sit outside with the smokers and moan about the human rights violation of not being able to smoke in a pub. Oh a nice hot mug of that chicory stuff.  Yes, stop sniggering, i know it's a pub Mr bar steward, jeezzz. [:)]
2. Thanks folks! Seems like the chemical route. I shall look into it all. Great link gluey. Ta! [:)]
3. Here's one i didn't do earlier. But what it should look like And here is the painted version. (I had to paint it white as i couldn't live with the bright blue!)
4. We have a Charente stone fireplace which has been painted a number of times.  (....from bright red to bright blue...[+o(]..) And i want to get back to the stone, but without damaging it too much. Scraping etc may leave too many marks on the stone as it's so soft, not sure what damage evil chemicals would cause & I'm half tempted to get a blow torch on it. [blink] Any ideas?
5.
Hi just seen the messages we have a family holiday house in Limousin and I'm the only one under 30!  TC is this St Mathieu in Le Grand Bourg?
I was beginning to think i was the only under 30 brit in France! [:)]
6. Oh, thanks Mrs House, i'm not going totally mad then! Can you do the time warp Cathy? It's just a jump to the left...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UXTIzSmZPY [:D]
7. I haven't been looked here since Friday but there is a post saying i posted it  yesterday evening. That's freaky.
8.
Cathy, you grab hold of the chain and lean out real far & the other person squeezes underneath your arms!
Jeezus, are you joking. Like imagine if they tickled you. [:'(] Heights aren't my fave, but the thought of exposing my underarm area to a random stranger and not being able to let go of a stoopid chain makes me all wibbly. [+o(]
9.
cor you sound like my hubby when i use his paint brushes, or his chizels for prizing nails out [:D]
[:'(] yep, it's a bit like that! Imagine he nabbed your best roasting tray for draining the oil from the car.........or whatever it is boys do.
10. have you tried the online dictionaries? I use  http://www.wordreference.com/enfr/ Also a brilliant way to learn, is buy a really good french dictionary.  Looking up words in French (without a translation in English) really helps language skills no end.
11.
Cor bet he felt the sharp edge of your angle grinder!!!![Www]
You should have seen the fallout when i caught him using a beautifully polished hammer of mine for whacking in nails! My new lovely workshop has a lock on the door. [6]
12.
I am very interested in discs shattering if dropped. Are we talking about metal/Diamond disks or something else. I was not aware that dropping diamond discs would cause problems.
Sorry, i was referring to the resin/ fiberglass (or whatever they are made of) cutting/ grinding discs FOR metal, not the metal/diamond ones.
13. Cos me and kitty know, if you look after your tools, they'll look after you! I treat mine as  if they were my babies.....[:$]  A while ago, himself (accidentally?) left some of my tools out in the rain and they got all rusty, i was close to tears!! [:$] [:$]
14. I've certainly never heard anything about cutting through welds. Although i normally only need to grind the life out of them, not cut them. Any small defect in the disc may cause it to shatter. I never use anyone else's discs, i know mine are kept safe, and a dropped one goes straight in the bin. It's a couple of quid versus a potential injury. My guess, it was just a dud disk. It happens. As with any tool/ machine, know the dangers before you start playing with it. Go for worst case scenario and take measures to protect yourself. (sorry, i am a heath and safety nerd!) [:)]
15. Is there any chance the disc could have been dropped before use? Did he bash into the piece or use to much pressure initially? Also was the guard used?? I normally use a face shield and safety glasses when grinding or cutting.
16. Too right it is! This is my favorite time of year! All the good stuff to look forward to!! (any S.A.D sufferers will understand). Cue sunshine. [8-|]
17. Super U. Carrefour also do the over the counter stuff. Doh ..........i shouldn't have given away such classified info! If i now find all my supplies run out i will have to hold you personally responsible! [:)]
18. Still can't beat a nice bit of cheddar. Local supermarket not only has the wykes farm stuff over the counter but now has started selling  'seriously strong' stuff on the shelf! [:)]
19. Yep pretty cool, i'd prefer a nice bit of copper mixed in there somewhere tho.[:)] What is that road sign all about? No walking giants, no mini people with balls, no floating cars and no building houses in boxes. Um OK then. You go to some odd places Mr H. [:D]
20. I still find it funny, that way before the papers started speculating about the parents being involved, my mum, a social worker, said she thought something with them wasn't 'right' and she felt they may be involved, somehow, as in, it was her gut instinct/ professional opinion. At the time, i didn't really take much notice, thought it a bit far fetched, but now it  really makes me think.......
21. Happy Easterness to all in forum land!!  [kiss] What's it all about again, this Easter behaviour...... i can only think it's for scoffing chocolate, I'm sure there was another reason? Ah well, at least i have got myself a secret stash of cadbury's mini eggs, bought last time i was in the uk!!! (the creme eggs didn't survive long enough for Easter [Www] ) What's your fave easter eggies?
Oh no Im a broken woman...............[:(]
If any one tries to brake Pads, they'll get a slap from me. OK? (you're not broken Pads..........just in need of some minor repairs. [:)] )
24.
He reckons that's it now, winter is over (and he's nearly always spot on with his predictions on all things weather related).
He lied to you Cat! Snowed yesterday and blinking cold and windy today..........back to dressing up like something the michelin man would take out on a date. [:(] Oh well...........2 weeks 'till it's officially spring! And 3 and a bit until the clocks change!!! (not that I'm counting........)
