1. We're building a house and are at the sourcing of materials stage. We like buying locally to support the community, however some materials are either much more expensive or poorer quality. If I shipped certain bulk materials over from UK, VAT paid what are the implications, ie tax etc Andy
2. We require a 12 month let within 10km of Le Bugue from June 2012 while we build our new house. Min 3 bedrooms full payment up front a possibility Andy
3. can a moderator help with image please
4. I'm having major problems finding replacement margelles in Dordogne, profile as pic any ideas? Andy
5. I'm looking for someone in the Le Bugue (24 area for regular moto offroad fun. Loads of fabulous trails in varying degrees of difficulty. I'm an improving (I hope) novice/medium ability rider who likes a good pace, but not racing speeds. Enjoyment is the key, so the odd coffee breaks are welcomed and essential. Ride lengths anything from 2 to 6 hours to suit. I don't feel comfortable (safety), or relish riding alone Andy

7. Our beautiful huge willow tree was felled by the storm last night..... right on top of our car as it happens. Question, does anyone need a n ew cricket bat?
8. Well said Rose By no stretch of the imagination can Dunkerswell be considered an area of natural beauty. Yes I am a racer, before anyone comments, but I do try to see both sides of any argument. Interesting that Jaynebee mentions the website, the last time I looked, admittedly some time ago, there was a high percentage of support for the project on an "Anti" site. Personally I feel that some of the objectors to this particular project should look deep and ask themselves, is it the idea I'm against or Nigel Mansell.
9. "Well aren't we a nice lot, judge prosecutor & jury all in one." Another new user to the forum who probably wont be returning, I agree with Steve's comments above whole heartedly, why oh why do members feel the need to be so rude to new users on this forum. Whilst I agree with most of  Icenis comments, why do we need the rude digs? I have been a reader of this forum on a daily basis for more than 2 years and I can assure you this is a regular occurence by some of our members.

11. Ernie Have seen this in action back in the UK, seemed to be very succesful LETS - Local Exchange Trading Systems or Schemes - are local community-based mutual aid networks in which people exchange all kinds of goods and services with one another, without the need for money LETS - Local Exchange Trading Systems or Schemes - are local community-based mutual aid networks in which people exchange all kinds of goods and services with one another, without the need for money.   LETS are revitalising communities throughout Britain. As grassroots initiatives they are open to everyone - people of all ages, skills and abilities; local clubs and associations; voluntary groups, charities, community initiatives; housing co-operatives, small businesses and local services - helping everyone to give and take, connect to new resources, and find a genuine community identity. LETS offer equal opportunities to all - whether employed or unemployed, financially secure or on low income, black or white, able or disabled. LETS use a system of community credits, so that direct exchanges do not have to be made. People earn LETS credits by providing a service, and can then spend the credits on whatever is offered by others on the scheme: for example childcare, transport, food, home repairs or the hire of tools and equipment.
