1.
Powell predicted one day the black man would be master in the UK. Colour is not an issue as far as I'm concerned. But if the rulers are religious fanatics, imposing their superstitious dogma on the host nation, then that's another matter entirely.
its an absolute disgrace, unfortunately theres nobody in government with the balls for the job that needs to be done.
2.
Making lending difficult will of course slow the UK housing market down quite a bit but that should boost the rental marked working on the logic that if people can afford the repayments but can't get a loan they can afford to rent.
thats just the point, they can't ! and rents are more than mortgage repayments, and sensible lending in the beginning would have certainly helped prevent the current situation.
3.
Whilst, no doubt estate agents are still suggesting to the gullible "Buy now folks, whilst they're cheap!", this morning's news from Wall Street simply adds to the case for us bears! [:)]
They are not as cheap as the're going to be, the real financial situation will determine house prices for the foreseable future, and I see them quite easily dropping by half there current value, given the real factors involved, mortgage availability, demand, and of course the repossion stock which I understand is going to be rather large. memories of the late 80's.
4. Hi Bit like UK, not sure if things have changed in 20 yrs but, if you tended any property or land for a period of 10 yrs without the owner coming forward to claim it as his then the land / property passes to you.
5. A news report BBC I think, about a month ago. I was in the business during the last recession late 80's early 90's and these things tend to take a longtime to pan out, and given the absolute reckless lending practices over the last 10 years this time can only be worse. We can already see it is impossible for a single person to legitimately acquire sufficient funding for even the most modest purchase, a big reason why prices must come down, no first time buyers no market simple as that.  But in large part the problem will stem from the number of repossesions which is set to be much higher than the last time as a result of negligent lending and sharp practice of buy to let property developers etc. If I were in the UK I would be selling now, investing and renting for a while, and when the time is right grab a bargain many people ended up in bigger houses better locations and for a lot less in the early 90's.  When the repossesion frenzy kicks off, agents will be swamped with bargain property and normal stock will go to the wall until its over, you cant sell a house for 200,000 when the repo next door or down the street is up for 170,000 or less after 4 or 6 weeks. Once an eviction order is in place the lender doesnt really care, its a damage limitation exercise and they just want a quick sale, and they will sell for whatever they can get.
6. Since the market downturn in UK is only just beginning, and the forecast is for at least a 30% fall in house prices over the next 5 years. And given that the French market is relatively stable at present, I would suggest now is the best time for those contemplating the move over to France to sell in the UK. And as sterling is also expected to lose groung to the euro, I dont see a better time to make the move.
7. Hi Your obviously resident here so convert the sterling to euros and enter into your day book, I presently convert income from UK at EURO 1.30 - 1 GBP. When you submit your tax return just enter the whole amount in Euros, theres no point in confusing the situation at the french tax office, since under the micro enterprise scheme they are only interested in the total amount of revenue not where it came from.
8. hi  try a search in Google, "free bethroom planning software" you should never need to buy software its all out there for free, you just need to find it!
9. As received,   FROM MR VINCENT KOMA My Dearest, How are you today with your family over there in your country?I hope you all fine, so my dear, i will like you to go through this letter kindly and also get back to me It is my great interest and the trust which I have on you, through we have not meet before, neither have we seen for the first time,  before I pick up your address and write to you  I am a staff of Bank I 'm writing following an oppurtunity in my office that will be of imense benefit to both of us. In my department we discovered an  abandoned sum of  $10.5million (Ten million five hundred thousand ) in an account that belongs to one of our  foreign customers Late Mr. Morris Thompson an American  who unfortunately lost his life  in the plane crash of Alaska Airlines Flight 261 which crashed on January 31 2000, including his wife and his only daughter. You shall read more  about the crash on visiting this site below. http://www.cnn.com/2000/US/02/01/alaska.airlines.list/   Since we got information about  his death, we have been expecting his next of kin or relatves to come over and claim his money because we cannot release it unless somebody applies for it as next of kin or relation to the deceased as indicated in our banking guidelines. Unfortunately, I learnt that his supposed next of kin being his only daughter died along with him in the plane crash leaving nobody with the knowledge of this fund behind for the claim. It is therefore upon this discovery that I and two other officials in this department now decided to make  business with you and release the money to you as the next of kin or  beneficiary of the funds for safety keeping and subsequent disbursement since nobody is coming for it and we don’t want this money to go back into  Government treasury  as unclaimed bill. The banking law and guidelines here stipulates that such money remained after 6 years the money will be transferred into banking treasury as unclaimed funds And  I beening the chief Accountant officer in the bank with other two members do not allowed the bank Director to know about this. We agreed that 20% of this money will be for you as foreign partner, while the balance will be for me and my colleagues. I will visit your country for the disbursement according to the percentages indicated above once this money gets into your account.  Please be honest to me and trust is our watchword in this transaction. Note this transaction is confidential and  risk free.  As soon as you receive this mail you should contact me by return mail or you call me on telephone. Please note that all necessary arrangement for the smooth release of these funds to you has been finalised. We will discuss much in details when I do receive your response. Please in your response include your telephone number for easy communication between us. Best regards Mr Vincent Koma
10. If the wires are currently run in gaine, you should pull them out and replace them back to point of origin at the length you require, and join a new piece of gaine to the old. Sounds easy, but it is my experience these professionels are not averse to running gaine in and out of stone walls,  running up a wall by hacking out the pointing and running the gaine in the speaces between the stones. There is no way you can rewire in such circumstances. So, if its not practical to rewire then put in a junction box, I prefer bornes too! and leave it you, as to whether or not to leave it accessible ( wouldnt worry too much about that ), its extremely rare that when an electrical fault occurs it is something hidden like a junction box, it is generally the exposed elements switches, sockets, light fittings etc.
11. http://www.urbanisme.equipement.gouv.fr/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=302 is the one. I would suggest a trip to local planning office, DDE, they like to be consulted and are always helpful, they will tell you what you can and cannot do as they are the ones who decide in the end, not the maire! although you will probably need to submit the forms thru the maires office, thats france unfortunately.
12. Hi It would help us, to help you, if you mention what you are planning!
13. Hi Compressions are ok, if it makes you feel more comfortable, fit a pressure reducing valve on the mains inlet ( 25 euros ) they are preset to 3 bar more than enough for the average house.
14. Hi Go and ask at DDE,(planning office) there should be one in the commune.
15. Hi Whatever floats your boat, I think 15 euros for what amounts to about 10 replacement cartridges is pretty good value!
16. Hi Has anyone used the refill kits for their printer cartridges? After long consideration I finally bought a refill kit since the Dell printer cartridges are so expensive, and they commence the annoying reminder to purchase refills when the existing are still half full! A slightly delicate operation but all done in 10 mins, printer up and running no problems. So would recommend it as a it will save a large sum as opposed to new cartridges.

Carte Vitale

Hi When you start paying your cotisations / contributions , you will receive your cartes vitale, if you have registered as a micro enterprise, from your post, you should actually all be named in the registration including your son, but the person whose name the business is registered in will automatically convey medical rights to the rest of the family from his/her contributions. FYI, if you are all working/helping in the business, there will be the normal cotisations to pay, by the head of the enterprise, plus 2 further pension contributions of around 500 euros each.   You dont say what your business is, but if its anything visible outside the home, for example market traders, then you need to ensure whoever is present is properly accounted for. If help and assistance is of a non visible nature, for example a home based business then you may be able to get away with it. hope this helps and good luck with your venture
18.
Therefore you have little option but to follow Clair's line and join a queue for an eye test here, or get one done if you're back in the UK at any time soon.
Hi If you want an appointment quickly, tell the receptionist you have broken yours and cannot see without them, worked a treat for me, had an appointment in 2 days rather than 2 months! needs must!
19.
If you don't get the point that poor people who are discriminated against can get rich,
Rather a lame argument for multicultural society dont you think?
20.
So, now tell me, how do I change my skin colour?
Not quite sure what you mean by that?
21.
So, what IS the real issue?  Perhaps you'd care to spell it out?
I think its rather insensitive of you to pursue your line of questioning, when the real issue is blatantly obvious to most, and if not to you then I think you should'nt involve yourself.
22.
So, what IS the real issue?  Perhaps you'd care to spell it out?
I think its rather insensitive of you to pursue your line of questioning, since the real issue is abundantly clear to all, and if not to you, then you really should'nt involve yourself.
