    Donating blood

I don`t know if your british or not Kate, but if you lived in the UK between 1980 and I think it`s 1996 then you probably won`t be able to give blood in France. They don`t want to risk being infected with mad cow disease..... I`ve tried twice and each time, I`ve been (very politely) turned away. Please correct me if anybody knows different. Norman
  2. Unfortunately .... yes Forced into oui-oui world by my friends 3 year old daughter everytime I visit.... she`s obsessed où est oui-oui?......... LA!..... oui il est la (turn page and repeat) As for the others in the hood... errrmmm Potiron Monsieur Lapompe Monsieur le Gendarme Chatounette Mirou and Zim there are more I think but can`t remember them at the moment..
  3. if your using Explorer go into TOOLS at the top of the page, click on INTERNET OPTIONS, and there you will find your homepage address...... change it to something else and see what happens....
  4. I`m confused as to why if it`s driving you all mad... you don`t just find something else instead.... Just because you pay them does`nt mean you have to then be subjected to their rather awful spangly website... plenty of others out there... news and weather... try http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/default.stm or a bit more Frenchyfied.. www.french-news.com/frenchnews.htm your homepage is not set in stone.. Norman.
  5. F.I.M.O. - La Formation Initiale Minimale Obligatoire gotten by attending a course run by your local heavy goods driving school, lasts five years after which you take the F.C.O.S. F.C.O.S. - La Formation Continue Obligatoire de Securite a refresher course which takes 3 days and again lasts for 5 years. C`est la galère pour trouver un boulot? non? Norman.

  12. The guy on the quizz show was an English teacher that`s why the `good luck` comment was made...... I really should get out more..... For a cordless phone try telephone sans fil, they`re always advertised as that. Talking of things that go beep and the e-mail thing, do you think most people use the word fax instead of telecopie? I have`nt heard telecopie for ages.
