Hello everyone, Does anyone know how to clean (deep clean) old floor tiles.  Have tried scrubbing (hubby says I'm good at that!!). Any ideas would be gratefully received. Many thanks Sueyh

Amiens Christmas markets started on Saturday.  They go on until 24th December.  Really lovely and festive with lots of different stalls. (Including the Wooden Heart of Yorkshire stand!!). Suey

Kent Cob nuts We have kent cob nut trees in our garden in Northern France.  Does anyone know of any way to preserve these or use them to make something delicious? Sueyh Thats the nuts not the trees!

A friend of mine ate these in the Summer and her only description was "well there was an awful lot of pipework!!". Couldn't face them myself. Sueyh  

We had a wasp (guepe) nest under our veranda roof, we rang the pompiers (they do not deal with wasp nests any longer) and they put us onto a very good pest control company.  However this was in the Frevent area so may not be of much use to you. If anyone wants the info just e-mail and I will be happy to pass on.  It cost 90 euros but depends upon the height they have to climb.  We could have bought the spray from them and done it ourselves for 11 euros - no fear!! We only found out last night when a friend rang to warn us to use up our points by the middle of January.  What annoys me is that we have booked up until April and the points that we would have gained on these trips will not now be valid under the Privilege plus membership due to the fact that they are not added until you have travelled, despite having paid for the trips last April! It is a shame that Eurotunnel did not have the courtesy to write to us, as privilege plus members to let us know.  What happens about the years membership that we have paid and the joining fee?!  I feel sorry for those who have only recently joined.
