  1. [quote user="powerdesal"]I just saw a recent post which my screen showed at 2100 exactly, this is at 2000 my time which is 1800 French time. The post was generated in France. Anyone got any ideas why I show an hour later than real time here. No real problem with it but I'm curious. [8-)] [/quote] Hi, You can adjust the times within your settings ('Edit your details' at top of page).

  4. Hi, I have reported this through the appropriate channels so hopefully something will be done sooner rather than later. James
  5. Hi, Because of the loading times of the message compiler page we don't show them. You can go to this page and right click on properties to find where they are and click from 'design' to 'html' and add image tags  when compiling a message: eg: <img src="URL OF IMAGE">

  7. Are you interested in buying a home in France? Do you live there already but are considering moving again, within France? Either way, tell us what you think and your views could be included in a special article we will be running in a forthcoming issue, examining why some parts of France are more popular with property-seekers than others. http://www.livingfrance.com/lvfra/content/html/hotspotsurvey.htm Thank you for your participation.
  8. We thought about this a while ago and decided against it. I have seen chat rooms set up on other sites that have very popular forums and the chat room isn't used.
  9. I will 'sticky' this to the top of the section so that everyone can add forthcoming events and venues...
  10. The problem was fixed yesterday so the clear out of emails is taking place. James
  11. Hi, It was deleted. Posts from other media organisations require approval from Admin. Only the thread poster gets a notification of the post being deleted with this software. Best Regards James
  12. 'Antiques, arts and crafts in France' sounds good as a section - just to include everything. I'll sort this out. James
  13. I'm only just starting to figure out php at the moment as we don't use it here at work as we have windows servers not Linux...so it's something I'm doing at home. The majority of coding that I do is hard coding rather than using programs such as Dreamweaver, so I'm not much use to you really...sorry. James

  15. Hi. See here for a basic explanation of SHTML: http://www.within-reason.com/tutorial/shtml.html Having looked at your source code it looks like straight html. What you could do is this: 1. copy your index.shtml index file to local drive and make a copy. 2. Rename the copied file offline to index.html 3. Add the index.html to the server. 4. Rename the online index.shtml to xindex.shtml Check website (make sure it isn't cached version your viewing by hitting simultaneously control and f5 key). If it doesn't work you can always switch back. You'll have a copy online and offline of the original.
  16. I think the system is 'catching up'. Should be OK now.
  17. Hi, Thanks for letting me know, I have adjusted the link and it should work now.
  18. Hi Le_Jars Depends on the server I think as to which file it calls first when someone types the domain but it's usually 'index.html'. If you name your homepage index.html it should call up from just the domain name anyway and you wouldn't need to type the /index.html after it. James for example (and I have no connection with this site!) http://www.villas-apart.net shows http://www.villas-apart.net/index.html Does this help? Additional example is that your web address in your sig could be shortened to http://www.galerielepetitchien.com/paintings
  19. Have asked Norwich IS dept. to look into this.
  20. Cassis has described it well. If you still have problems email me the pic and I'll sort it out for you. James
  21. Following the successful treatment of his young son Hugo, who was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2004, Kingsley (Kings) Hodgkins is going to walk the GR10 ‘coast to coast’ path across the French Pyrenees with FRANCE Magazine's Consultant Editor Philip Faiers. That's 870 kms (540 miles) in 7 weeks. All to raise funds for ARETCE, a children’s cancer trust set up by the ‘extraordinary’ team at Hospital Purpan in Toulouse where Hugo was treated. Walk commences Friday 14th July 2006. Please go to http://www.GR10.org to find out more and to sponsor him! [:)] Philip Faiers will also be doing a blog of the journey as he goes here: http://www.francemag.com/frmag/blogs/philipsblog.asp
  22. Hi Baz, You should receive an email notification of each PM message you receive. The message you are getting when trying to save your details is due to your login email address and contact email address being different. If you change these two email so they are the same you will be able to save your detail change. After you have saved you can change the contact email address back. James
