1. As bugsy said, possibly pine marten, or, as it was found in your  loft, more likely stone marten (fouine)... http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/natureuk/2010/10/your-questions-answered.shtml I'd say that the speckled bits look like berry seeds?
2. Clair knows [:)]... it's part of the FAQs for this Forum Tech Support section http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/1758955/ShowPost.aspx   ...click on the compatibility icon on the right-hand side of the address bar:                           The reply box will be full size and you will be able to post smilies
3. That's good to know [blink]
4. If the forum search is temporarily unusable, you could try a google custom search of the forum [geek]
5. I don't know what has happened to the forum search facility, it could be due to ongoing webserver problems at Archant. The issue with an old post of yours showing up in the "My Forums" view is down to the deletion of several posts of a tiresome little troll.  Yours was the last post, but because the troll posted to the thread last night, the thread became "active" again.
6. Baby oil, seriously.  It'll stop greasy fingerprints too.
7. Cat

ABTA, ATOL, etc

I've no experience of them myself, but APS L'Association Professionnelle de Solidarité du Tourisme  or SNAV Syndicat Nationale des Agences de Voyages ?
8. The rumour about the bank named in the link above is an old one, this is about a newer rumour [blink] Initially, caution advises against speculating which bank it could be.
9.
I wonder if he
... or one of his friends
has shares in the prefered supplier of these machines.
10. This would be the TF1 news report, I imagine [:)]
11. c-dennis, I don't think it is possible to search pages blanches using only a first name and location, you can use a surname (last name) only, or a surname along with a first name, or a surname with a first name and a location. You're not putting her first name in the "Nom" field are you?  In French a nom is a surname, a prénom is a first name, and (confusingly) a surnom is a nickname [geek]
12. ... as previously discussed here
13. Actually*, I don't think that the OP will be able to reply. We will never know where to source the furnitures of good quality.     *Actually, one is from Essex, innit [:$]
14. You could try this guy, he's based in the Lot http://www.amanwithavan.org/
15. I don't know of anywhere myself, but I assume that you've already checked google.fr shopping for Déshumidificateurs ?
16. Silly old you Chancer, it can't be the same person. The first Chiefluvvie doesn't list his interest in his profile as "getting at stupid people" This one, Chiefluwie does, and he only joined today. Still he also lists his profession as unemployed santa, so I guess he must be bored out of his skull. Nope, can't possibly be the same person, coz dual IDs are interdit, and we'd have to chop off his head [:D]
17. Or easy apple juice perhaps?  No skinning or coreing needed. Wash your apples, cut away the bad parts, and then cut the rest into quarters.   Put a couple of inches of water into a large pan and add the quartered apples.   Bring to the boil, cover and simmer until they are soft (about 20 minutes).   Smash with a potato-masher, and then put the resulting pulp into a large colander lined with a piece of muslin/cheesecloth or a clean hanky.   Let it drain into a large bowl for about an hour, and then squeeze the pulp to get the rest of the juice out (it'll go cloudy, but that's the best stuff in the apples, so the cloudier the better).   You can then drink it or freeze it until needed.
18. Have you tried dry roasting/toasting the seeds Clair? I tried it for the first time yesterday, as an experiment, and I love 'em.  Kind of sweet and nutty. [:)]
19. Perhaps we should wait for the OP to reply, as he hasn't yet confirmed that he has no other income?

21. Not always, Android users have a few as well Android satellite finders
22. You could try saying "I want to speak to an operator". It works for paypal UK.  I recently had to phone them with a query that wasn't included in any of their pre-recorded messages (although I strongly suspect that their call centre isn't in the UK, or even Europe, given the accent of the person I ended up speaking to).  But she was at least a human being, rather than a recorded message! It may just work with other services too.
23. Oh dear, I've been offline for a bit, but I'm fine, nothing sinister [:$] I've seen your PM teapot, I'll reply right now.
