  1. A tip for the future. If you are certain_sure that you are using the right email and password combo to log in, and still keep getting that error message, try typing your password in capitals.  It really should not make a difference, the passwords are supposed to be case-blind, except that sometimes they are not [:'(] I know this to be true, happens to me all the time!
  2. My Dualit has been going strong for 12 years too. Did you seen the film  The Lightbulb Conspiracy (trailer) about planned obsolescence that was shown on TV recently?  Full film here
  3. Was that the "eccentric royalist" in the Dordogne (I didn't watch the program, just checked the channel 4 website)? I wonder when the episode was filmed, as the only person I can find by that name is selling up and going back to the UK!
  4. Testing using Google Chrome. No smilies. No white space though No formatting available. Edit, no line spacing either , apparently. Edit, ah line spacing does work, but not in preview.
  5. But (looking on the bright side) the search facility is finally working, hoorah!
  6. This is the 3rd time I've typed this reply, grrr What I was going to say has now been said (I'm not loving it either) New shortcut to active posts http://services.completefrance.com/forums/completefrance/cs/forums/TopicsActive.aspx

    Scam?

Anything coming from somewhere where you are already a client/customer, but that is addressed to "Dear Customer" or "Dear Client" should be binned. Simples!
  11. The summary sheet is often handed over with the first bon de transport.  If not it is available to download here http://www.ameli.fr/fileadmin/user_upload/formulaires/S3140.pdf The rate (indemnités kilométriques) are here  http://www.ameli.fr/assures/soins-et-remboursements/combien-serez-vous-rembourse/frais-de-transport/quel-remboursement.php Remember to ask for (and save) receipts on the autoroute too.
  12. And it's not just gmail, it's all Google products (so includes Android apps on smartphones).   If you have a google account you can see the info that Google stores on you here https://www.google.com/dashboard/?hl=en-GB
  13. My kindle is registered to a French address, but I can still buy (or get free) kindle publications in English on the French Amazon site Was there a particular reason you wanted your kindle to be registered in the UK?
  14. Try right clicking on Vistalizator, then Properties, Compatibility, Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7 ? EDIT, Doh! didn't spot the last page, I am but an echo [:$]
  15. When I was in hospital the bedside cabinet was lockable, as was the little built in wardrobe.  If I remember rightly, they pinned the key to my gown just before they wheeled me off to theatre.
  16. I've been getting it too. If you refresh your browser (F5 or the 2 arrow thingie in IE) you'll get back to being logged in after a couple of goes.
  17. I think that RH knows that Idun. I'd guess that she was referring to ppp's rather odd use of exotics and EU peripherals to describe the children involved (which does indeed de-humanise them) that made them sound like something to be traded on the commodity market. As for the accepted forum paradigm, there may well be one, and if there were, most of us would know and recognise it, wouldn't we.
  18. So here's another question, Mr Cat doesn't have a GPS/fixed radar warning system, but I do, on my smartphone If he is driving, and I am in the car with my phone switched on (with data and GPS enabled, but not necessarily using them) am I guilty of a crime? Is it possession of the device, or the use of it that is forbidden? If the phone were in my handbag or pocket, would I be less guilty than if the phone was in its holster (not the right word I know) clamped to the car window, but on the passenger side (for my own use, as a passenger)?
  19. This link... search will work It's a google advanced search, and is much more sophisticated than the forum's own search facility (which is pants at the moment anyway).
  20. I'm not a dieter, but I am diabetic, and so sometimes have to have a little nibble before bed if my blood sugar is a bit low. I'd normally have a small glass of milk and perhaps half a digestive biscuit. You say you had a good evening meal, but what time was that?  If you ate at around 8pm, and you are hungry at 1am, that's 5 hours.  That's the time between breakfast and lunch. Your blood sugars usually revert to pre-meal levels around 2 hours after eating, unless you eat slower burning wholemeal carbs, or have eaten a lot of fat, or drunk lots of alcohol (and I know that last one wouldn't apply to you idun). I'd say it would be pretty normal to be a bit peckish at 1am.
  21. I think every body part name you might ever need can be found here... http://www.ikonet.com/fr/sante/corpshumainvirtuel/corpshumainvirtuel.php You can use the slider in the smaller image on the right hand side to zoom in.
  22. Tyler, I'm afraid I am always just a little suspicious of brand new members promoting websites. I have removed the name and website of the company in your post, but if the original poster would like the details they will be able to PM you for them.

    caravan sites?

I have removed the name and website of the company in your post, but if the original poster would like the details they will be able to PM you for them. However, as the original post was made quite some time ago, they may well have found somewhere suitable by now.
