    mmm... difficult to define that, example of personal website please
    My sig (removed for this post) is 'my personal website' I built it, its mine, however it does create business for me, as do most websites - is that not there whole intention?

    IMO sigs should be allowed - otherwise board police will be very busy

    I pressume forum admin mean this sort of post:

    Hi Im new here and have a great business selling 'anti nosey parker windows' they are really great and I can give all forum users 50% off, so why dont ya all come on over to my new website at www.blah-blah-blah.com and see what we have for you

    And I also pressume they dont mind people linking to their websites in signatures, I wouldnt of thought that was a problem, its more the blatent 'I can do this for all members' post as above

    Chris you make some good points below.

    To answer your comments, I am a professional SEO (Search Engine Optimser) I achieve top search engine results for all the sites under 'my wing' and the offer includes one image of the property and 10 words of descriptive text, oh, and its free.

    It will take a while for the site to achieve its Search Engine positions, but rest assured it will do that, in reality expect serious traffic beginning next season

    Well we could go on and on Doug, we recommend Ryanair, is that bad because they charge a fortune to change your flights compared to BA?

    Anyway the offer is genuine, we will attracting lots of traffic, the offer is to put some of that targetted traffic your way... simple
