1. Assuming your dish is properly well aligned almost certainly yes. Worst case may be you have to increase your dish size. However nobody knows for certain till the change takes place. Sky and freesat boxes should be fine but anybody using other receivers will need to enter new paramaters.
2. I suspect different methods for checking either existance of card : 1. Card rejected because issuer does not have French code or. 2. Verified by Visa in UK uses a second password but V by V in France uses a telephone call to your phone and a new four digit number everytime.
3. I could and did find chapter and verse about UK residents not being able to use non-UK registered vehicles in the UK. I could not find any similar direct prohibition in France but the penalties for non importation are Draconian. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/BuyingAndSellingAVehicle/ImportingAndExportingAVehicle/DG_10014623 UK residents driving non-UK cars in the UK UK residents are not allowed to use non-UK registered vehicles on UK roads. The only exception is if you work in another EU member state and use an EU-registered company car temporarily in the UK for business purposes. Similar rules for Holland and Belgium apparently. http://droit-finances.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-3844567-non-resident-voiture-immatriculee-en-france http://www.quelpermis.com/Permis-etranger/conduire-avec-une-plaque-dimmatriculation-etrangere.html http://www.mustangclubdefrance.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4899 All of the prohibitions I could find in France were about continued use of an imported car after the one month period for registration in France.
4. Suggest downloading the free E-book - 'Understanding Satellite TV' from Satcure Gives a good grounding.
5. The published footprints are for 45 and 60 cms dishes. I suspect it will be bad news for Spain, Italy and Greece but given real results versus coverage maps current sats suspect france will remain OK for 80 cms properley aligned.
6. Try google.fr and 'Paslode' first link below : http://www.outy-store.fr/cloueurs-de-charpente/98-im350-cloueur-de-charpente-paslode-4013403005660.html Also 'Kiloutou' rent them out so must stock gas.
7. Indeed could not be bothered to google the name
8.
Probably spent too much time on the wrong side of the tracks but always check the sapre wheel is there before signing for car.
For sapre read spare
9. I thought I understood the Mayan Calendar, and rather than the day when the World ends and similar New Age Stuff it is simply the point at which the system runs out dates which are unique and IMHO the change would best be described as the end of a millenium. The system links two independant cycles to produce dates which are unique. I do understand the Gregorian, Judaic and Islamic calenders. The net postings on the subject seem to have been written by people who think Erik Von Daken is perhaps more accurate than Jeffrey Archer.
10. Probably spent too much time on the wrong side of the tracks but always check the sapre wheel is there before signing for car.
11. What an awful thing to do both to yourself and to the children
12. I normally secure a wooden battern with screws to hold it is place then glue it before finally attaching the cabinet to the wood. Also if you can find the rails behind the plaster board and use longer plaster board screws to screw into them you will have a better fix
13. Why not decouple the Sky Subscriotion for Sat TV from the broadband sub and buyb the best/cheapest local brioadband retaining the Sky sub for Discovery etc ?
14. As far as I know the card for Sport and or Film will not move box but the cards for Kids and Discovery are not paired to their box
15. As far as I am aware if the furniture etc. Is included in the price then there is no deduction for its cost. The separate listing of furniture allows the purchaser to pay lower costs of acquisition. In the third of the links below one of the drop down boxes allows you to input the costs of diagnostiques http://vosdroits.service-public.fr/F10864.xhtml#N10164 http://www.pap.fr/argent/calculettes/calcul-plus-value-immobiliere http://www.leparticulier.fr/jcms/c_35797/simulateur-de-calcul-de-plus-value-immobiliere
16. Recent experience : Case 1 signed offer made and countersigned Friday 5 pm. Compromis de Vente drawn up and signed 4pm Saturday at Immobelier's office. Case 2 offer signed and countersigned Wednesday 28th Sept. Compromis signed Friday 7th October despite two notaires being involved
17. Example of dish with suitable bracket below : http://www.satcure.co.uk/accs/page2.htm Unless I needed HD TV I would source a freesat box for £ 29 from Argos in UK.
18. Sorry every dual LNB I have seen only has 6 degrees of separation. Which was fine for 13 degrees to 19 degrees East which is the most common pairing in Europe. You would need 9 degrees nominal which I have never seen for sale. See link below : http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5150900.htm?CMPID=GS001&_$ja=tsid:11527%7Ccc:%7Cprd:5150900%7Ccat:home+entertainment+and+sat+nav+%2F+clearance+home+entertainment+and+sat+nav+%2F+television+and+audio+accessories+%2F#pdpFullProductInformation
19. If you TV has move than one SCART connection you should not need to plug and unplug. However as well as a freesat box you need either : A second dish aimed about 28.2 degrees East - say 10 degrees further East than the where the dish for Orange is aimed. or A second LNB mounted on a curved bracket offset from the main LNB. Unless your installer has done this before he or she would probably find a second dish far easier to set up.
20. For optimising you either need the sat receiver and a portable TV on the roof or a friend down stairs watching the signal quality and shouting 'bad' 'good' or 'same' like a demented Golden Shot contestant.
21. I would optimise on classic FM or Movies For Men as 28.5 on a weak signal works for 28.2 on a strong signal.
22. If you smile and ask nicely or plead - Activities totaly alien to me nature - then most French insurance offices will allow you to have a couple of copies of the NCR (No Carbon Required) version of the form.
23. Unless you pay by direct debit difficult to see how you theyb can repay you cost effectively or why they should.
24. Can you avoid the interest charges if you prepay in the cash you are going to draw abroad ?
25. Broadly RS is more up to date but either works if you put the effort in.
