1. So Clair, please tell me, are they allowed to get away with putting a massive offer price sign on something it does not refer to.  Of course in England they would be fined for this, but it really is misleading.
2. I can say that having had my twins later in life, I am glad that I have given them all my attention, not concentrating on what I want to be 'when I grow up' and resenting having them for missing out on something or other.  And they keep you young and fit.[:)] Georgina
3. I vowed I would not go back to Leclerc in Morlaix after three years, I was duty bound as the kids needed a hampster cage and they were on special.  Whilst there i saw a big sign saying E2.99 salmon, in a big separate freezer were hundreds of packets of salmon.  I paid and checked the receipts (always do that) they had charged me E 4.99.  So I took it straight to the customer services and after waiting about 10 minutes because there was one person serving ten people, she said she would go with me to check the price.  When we got to the big freezer, she took a couple of minutes to find out what the price referred to and in small letters on the sign (nowhere near the salmon i might add) was marked salmon cake, and there were some small packets of salmon cake, about four in all, as I said nowhere near where the sign was and totally outnumbered by hundreds of packets of salmon.    So i said i wanted a refund as it was not clear.  She had the audacity to say to me that as i had had it out of the fridge and it was now no good, {because they took so long to sort it out}, they could not reimbourse me!!!!  What is with these people, are they really so stupid to not realise they lose customers by behaving like this???  OOOh it makes me blood boil, - I got my refund after refusing to budge by the way, in French!!!  But I left, vowing to leave it much longer than three years. (I would add that I really am allergic to this particular store, never had a problem with others).  aaahhhhgghghghg!!![:@] Georgina
4. Whereas you go to Ikea in Brest and it's like there has been a bomb scare!!! [:-))] Georgina
5. I do not know why this women is a presenter, she is absolutely ghastly anyhow. What did she do to get on the One Show?[:'(]
6. We have a cocker spaniel and I think it's spaniels in general who are demanding. We have had lots of dogs but this one is certainly the hardest.  She is constantly bothering people, jealous of other dogs and wants to run everywhere. She has broken five leads and is a complete law unto herself.  I have managed to train her to obey if she is within two feet but otherwise she shoots off like a canon.  Her favourite hobby is investigating other people's gardens.  She will dart off through hedges, even into people's houses if they are unfortunate enough to have the door open at the time.  It is really strange how she just thinks she can investigate everything.  But she really needs to run so I cannot have her on the lead constantly but she is so quick.  Certainly the hardest dog I have had to control ever! But beautiful.
7. Unless you have an unusual prescription, I would recommend getting your prescription from the UK when there on hols, and going on line.  Much cheaper and quicker.  Glasses Direct - I can recommend.  I would think the reason it is so expensive here is because people expect to get reimbursed.  Much like when you go to the car repairers and it's done under the insurance in England, the price certainly is much higher because you would not quibble or shop around.   Georgina
8. Thank you for all your replies, I feel a bit better now.  It will be their Christmas present, so I really don't want tears at the airport. Georgina
9. Does anyone have any experience of bringing an XBox 360 on the plane with Ryanair in the hand luggage.  I think without putting it in a holdall, I should be able to bring it in the hand luggage but very worried I may ruin my kids' lives by finding out I cannot at the airport? It would be under the measurements without putting it in a case. We are flying to Luton which can be awkward. Georgina
10.     I had to laugh at this on Ryanair website posted to answer frequently asked questions:  I particularly liked the parachute one as I was about to ask that myself [:)][:)][:)]  Checked Baggage Allowance Cabin Baggage Allowance Can I carry Excess Baggage? Can I bring infant equipment - car/booster seats/travel cots? Can I bring my sports equipment or bike? Can I bring footballs and/or rugby balls on a flight? Can I bring a self inflating lifejacket? Can I bring a Parachute? Can I bring a Portable Dialysis Machine?
11. My sympathies to a fellow sufferer.  I find it best to not think about it at all.  Just reading this made me concentrate on it and when you do, it gets louder.  If you go down that route however, let us know what happens

Pampas Grass

Here is Morlaix we are being told to get rid of them as they are so invasive.  I thought they were really lovely until I saw the damage that they do with their roots and they really take over.  If you were to try and dig one up, you would have a right old job on your hands.
13. It looks like the fast food fad is catching on in France just like it did in England from America.  Can't be a hyprocrite though, on the trip to England the first craving was for KFC.
14. I should demand some Tesco vouchers for that.
15. If you are doing it for love, go for it. If you are doing it for money, forget it.  The only people who make money out of renovating are builders. Georgina
16. Thanks everyone for making me laugh so much.....[:)][:)][:)]  keep going please.   Georgina
17. We have wonderful neighbours in France.  But really you do not know what it is like when you have bad neighbours who are a constant noise nuisance, it can quite literally drive you insane.  There are many cases where neighbours have killed each other, surely that says something about how it affects people.  If you have NEVER suffered with bad neighbours, count yourself very lucky. It can happen anywhere. Georgina
18. http://www.spicesofindia.co.uk/acatalog/Indian-Food-Sounas-Peshwari-Naan-Bread.html There is a chinese shop in Brest near Geant and I have seen it there.  I do not know where you are though.  Here is a link for other Asian foods.
19. Please keep posting links to newspapers, I think Ron is out-voted, most people find them interesting and very amusing who cannot be bothered to trawl through the whole lot.
20. It's a bit odd that they went in in the first place. Do you think someone put them there. I can't imagine our dog going in unless there was water in it.
21. This reminded me of a lovely old Italian guy I knew who used to spend days carving rude things out of wood.  I thought we were going to see some of his work then.   He had a nice set of coat hooks once [:$] they were hilarious.
22. Got to agree here, would never do a major purchase again with them. Not worth the risk. [:'(]
23.
I bought a Philips electric razor at the beginning of March and unfortunately the on/off button started to play up. Yesterday I took it back and explained the problem. The razor was taken from me, a brand new one was taken off the display shelf and given to me. My original till receipt and Leclerc guarantee were photcopied and I was then escorted to the exit and ushered passed the security guard with a cheery au revoir. That's what I call After Sales Service.  [:D]
Are you saying you were escorted off the premises???  That sounds more like Leclerc. [:)]
