Has anybody had recent experience of buying a new or used Citroen in Germany recently via this website, http://mobile.de/ or any other website. Mal p at least the sun is shining today

The best on the market currently is FREE, the website is all in French but is quite easy to go through. The only thing is you need to access it via the net at www.free.fr. The actual company is called Iliad and it is worth looking at their web site as well as it can be displayed in English.  

"You really don't need the wanadoo software and in fact it puts lots of unnecessary software on your system If you have the account name and password and ADSL filter you can connect straight away. Just open firefox or explorer and plug the router into your PC. put 192.168.0.1 into the browser and your now inside the router. Go to basic settings and put in your password etc." The above advice was given to me by bigjimbishop and it works, as far as I know you do not have a telephone number for ADSL but you do need the filter in the line and you will probably need one for each telephone connection you have in use. It is a "plug into the telephone socket device" and when I installed my livebox it was the only way I could get it to work but the real advantage of the livebox or other WiFi system is that any laptop which is Wifi enabled can connect to the internet without wanadoo software, your house to the range of the WiFi router/modem becomes a "Hotspot". Buy the cheap headset in Carrefour for about 14 euros. Dont bother with the SKYPE one as all you get for the extra 10 euros is the ability to change the coloured inserts in the ear piece.

Hello PossumGirl, Unfurtunatly I will have to try and get my money back from Yahoo as it will not connect to any number in the UK or let me talk to my Son in Egypt where as with SKYPE I have no problems, just using  standard speakers and microphone  or a standard headset with mike. 

Hello All, We have a house on the edge of a Dordogne commune and were informed by France telecom that our post code said no ADSL but our telephone line comes from the Haut Vienne and I have just found out that we can get broadband but as yet not ungrouped (in other words it will cost more until we become ungrouped). Can any of you very helpful people tell me if ADSL Modems are universal. Providing they can read the French protocols of PPTP & PPPoE that is.   Regards
