    health insurance

yes possibly , thanks for the reply i`ll look into it. so many alien things to organise lately the odd moment of panic tends to set in occasionally! i think we probably will stay but the kids start school in a week and am busy panicing about how they will cope with that at the moment! have also been told about applying for an e106 with a top up policy which apparently means i would not have to register with the health system for 2 years or so? i`ll work it out i guess?, had a great summer so far, working really hard on the language, desperate to communicate better and fully aware of it`s importance, anyway i`ll stop there obviously had too much red with dinner and i`m starting to ramble on!!
  7. hi everyone, sorry to post something that has been covered before i expect, but i`m getting confused with all the variations on a theme and wondered if some kind person could try and give me a response to my situation specifically. i have been in france now for 2 months and am looking upon it as a trial period up until xmas to see if everything will work out (schools, language, work and business ideas etc... all the usual things!)i am not working at present and am living off interest from our house sale in the uk ( and a small amount of money we transfered over before moving out, we are a family of five with 3 young kids and presently have a e111 for everybody, we are still receiving child benefit and tax credits from the uk and can`t really say if we wish to become permanently resident yet. i am therefor unsure whether to register with the french health and social security system as yet and am worried about having to make large contributions to it straight away without as i said being sure about staying or having any income at the moment.we are renting a house on a long term lease but are able to give 2 months notice. i am in region 24 and basically wish to know the best way of making sure everyone is ok if they fall ill and if we would be entitled to any benefits if we sign off from our uk benefits. my partner and i are in our mid 30`s and the kids are all under 6. if anyone can give us any advice it would be much appreciated
