Hi Kev   It will vary greatly. We're estate agents in the Allier (03) and generally for a small rural property our clients pay around 250 - 350 euros ( the lowest we've come accross was 150 €!) for the taxe fonciere. The taxe d'habitation is worked out on an individual basis but is generally lower. Hope this helps, good luck! Jon

Hi Mary We ( me, my wife and our 2 yr old) have been living in bellerive (next to Vichy) for over 2 years and know of a fair few English speaking people in this area (mostly because we are estate agents and sold them their houses!) .
