  1. Lieu jaune & lieu noir are pollack, morue is salt cod & julienne is ling I think. This isn't a bad site for food translations, including fish. http://www.patriciawells.com/glossary/french_english_food_glossary.pdf For fish not listed, try Googling. You sometimes get a nice picture too & boy are some of the deep sea ones ugly! [;-)]
  2. Hello j&j, do you mean the wonderful wallpaper that very much looks like carpet? Methinks you probably do. We have that (inherited!) & removed it from one room. The carpet looking bit comes away fine & in lengths, the paper backing remains & you just remove in the normal way, steam, water spray, scraper or whatever. Luckily the wall underneath ours was fine, as others have said though, it could be hiding all sorts. Good luck! We still have a nice baby blue version in another bedroom, not so sure what that wall is like & it looks OK so we've left it.[:$] (erm................actually, I quite like it!) [:-))]
  3. I'm sure they'll go easy on you & that FA won't mind too much. You were only testing out a theory, weren't you? lol! I'm a good girl too, until Tresco or a few of the others lead me astray![;-)]
  4. [:D] You're welcome! I shocked myself with the non distorting links. [:-))]

[;-)]
  6. Flash.............ah ah!!!!!! Put the red water down dear!! [kiss]   It is very annoying when the page is stretched. It's why I stopped posting any links. Everytime if it was a long'un it happened & I never cracked how to shorten em on here. [:$]
  7. Wotcha Tresco![:D] I'm not that naughty, I knocked off a load of ???? ...............well, I can't afford the wine fine! [;-)]   PPP, isn't it draughty? [Www]

  10. Tenniswitch, you might want to read up on prebiotics too.
  11. They grow about a foot a year & of course, it depends on how big a cutting you take! [;-)] If you want a twisted willow cutting, then let me know. I must admit, as we have 3 in the garden, I've never looked in the garden centres here, although, I would have thought they would sell bigger ones. Maybe it is because they're easy to grow, but they would be a money maker!!
  12. [quote user="Brettonflyer"] I think the conclusion is.... anyone can hide in France, untraceable, so long as they are not on the wrong side of the law and get a pay as you go phone from Orange.Fr [/quote] That's what you think Brettonflyer!! [Www]  http://www.gpsspying.com/       [:-))]
  13. A wee while WJT![;-)] You don't need rooting powder, I pruned back some branches on a regular willow & a twisted willow & they took just pushed into the soil, no problem. It seems they just want to grow. I went to a garden plant sale in the UK a while back & they were selling small willows in pots for £10 each, when talking to the lady, she said that's all she did. Very nice, a tenner a pop for prunings!! [:-))]
  14. Really interesting thread & fantastic photos, thanks Mat. Keep it coming! It's easy to forget the people that put up with such harsh conditions to better our understanding. Stay warm!
  15. I'm OK thanks! [:D] You have been gone a while, hope all is well with you. You do seem to be having a problem, not very welcoming that & don't know why it's not working. Another lovely song though.[8-|] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLOEyusQMxw

  19. OFGS PdF! It all becomes clear, an advertising hoarding did crash down on your head & that's where your hatred of them comes from & Katie & Elton must have had ads for their new CD's on it. Change the bloody record!
  20. Hello & welcome Bunnybop. I couldn't agree more with your first post. BTW, I'm sure it's not too much of a problem to have a small e! [;-)] Real nice welcome Lee!
