Frizo needs a new home, he was adopted from the Refuge in Cahors, but his owner can no longer keep Frizo due to ill health. If you are interested in homing Frizo, please get in touch. We would love to find a good home for Frizo as soon as possible to avoid him having to come back into the Refuge.Frizo is 4 years old, vaccinated and micro chipped (250269500509335), also castrated. He is currently near Cahors (46) and help with transport could be arranged. Frizo is friendly, affectionate – but no chickens please, afraid he can’t resist them! A secure garden would also be best for him.https://refugecaninlotois.wordpress.com/2015/01/23/frizo-setter-anglais/Jouals

This is Fiby, she is 8 years old, sterilised, good with
cats, dogs and children - a delight... Fiby is vaccinated and micro chipped (250269802217413) and is currentlyin a foster home near Cahors (46) where she has been for 6 months. She has a little bit of arthritis. She is a super softy, loves a cuddle on thesofa and would so appreciate a kind forever home now.If you would like to offer Fiby a loving home, please get in
touch. Fiby was rescued by a localrescue association and placed in her current foster home by them.Jouals
(sorry about the strange text in this post, no idea how to get rid of it!)

Toby is reserved for adoption ! His new owner came from Paris to see him today and thinks he is just adorable (which he is - such a loving dog and still so trusting despite his former experiences)... she will return with her partner to collect him in 2 weeks - she can't wait ! Jouals
-
Just to be clear everyone - Toby is absolutely fine with other dogs (both male and female), cats (with a careful and sensible introduction of course - cats like to get used to something new in the family!) and children - he is currently in a foster home where he has had contact with all of these without problem! If anyone can offer Toby a forever home, please do get in touch. He so deserves a loving forever home.Thank you !Jouals

Udate!! Toby has been rescued and is now with a temporary foster home. (The Refuge in Cahors is sadly full up so he is not a Refuge Canin Lotois dog, but friends of ours have stepped in to help him.)Toby has had his first vaccination, and we can now confirm that he is ok with other dogs, children and cats (in case you are interested Mrs Trellis!) !!If you can offer a forever home to Toby, please get in touch, thank you!JoualsNew photos... arrival at his foster home....he is with cats, children and other dogs - no problem!

URGENT call for a loving home for poor Toby. A spaniel cross who has lived for at least 6 years on a tiny balcony in all weathers with nowhere warm to sleep, not even a blanket, never allowed inside!!! Short toilet trips, that’s all. This is URGENT. Efforts are under way by the Refuge in Cahors to rescue Toby as soon as possible – but we need a forever or foster home for him immediately as there is no room at the Refuge. Toby is micro chipped (250269800589667) but not vaccinated or castrated (this will be carried out by the Refuge as soon as he is in our care). Toby was born in June 2003 – this dog is 11 years old!! He deserves a happy retirement NOW. Please get in touch if you could adopt or foster Toby and offer him the love and care he now needs. He would be best placed as an only dog and no cats, thank you. This poor dog deserves the chance of a happy life !!You can PM or email me () if you can help.If you are a bit too far from Cahors, we can see how we can help with transport.Jouals

Take a look !http://refugecaninlotois.wordpress.com/2014/03/05/pimousse-et-garou-2-copains-en-ballade/Pimousse and Garou share a box together in the Refuge in Cahors, and are great friends. Both timid and unsure - but both would make loving, affectionate dogs given their chance of a life away from a refuge with kind, patient families.PIMOUSSE:http://refugecaninlotois.wordpress.com/2014/01/17/pimousse-x-berger/GAROU:http://refugecaninlotois.wordpress.com/2013/10/18/garou-briquet-griffon-vendeen-nouvelles-photos/Jouals

Whippet Pup

Would you consider adopting a whippet? There are plenty of rescue organisations in France seeking homes for dogs, including whippets. For example:http://www.levriers-co.fr/It would not take long to track one down, I am sure! Also be very, very careful about buying dogs/pups advertised on Leboncoin - they are not always what they seem! Many dogs/puppies are trafficked into France and it is a huge problem - so beware. Not all breeders advertising on there are reputable.A search on Google etc for lévrier/whippet/podenco/galgo/rescue/en détresse will throw up all sorts of possibilities to adopt and help an abandoned dog in the process.Jouals -
Anyone out there who could offer this smashing dog a new home?? We can also see about helping to get him to a new home if you are that bit too far away from Cahors.Galéo is micro chipped (250269500421189), vaccinated and castrated and is about 4. He is a lively, sporty dog, just loves walking and joining in with family life. Could you or someone you know give him his chance?Jouals

Terry has sadly not been reclaimed. We are now seeking a new home for this smashing little dog. If you are interested in adopting Terry, please get in touch. We may be able to help with transport if you are a bit too far from Cahors.JoualsRefuge Canin Lotois05 65 22 66 32

Terry has been registered with the Fourrière - if he is not reclaimed within the statutory 8 days, the Refuge will then be seeking a new home for him. Terry will be vaccinated, micro chipped and castrated before adoption. More news soon....Jouals

It's great news for Milord... adopted by a retired French couple - he has settled in really well and they are thrilled with him!JoualsLast farewell to a volunteer....

This little chap was brought in to the Refuge in Cahors (46) by an English
lady who found him in the woods near LEOBARD 46300 (west of Gourdon). He has no ID, had sore pads as if he had beenrunning a fair distance (these have been treated by a vet) but otherwise seemsin good health. Could he be lost...?? ifyou have lost him or know of someone who has, please contact the Refuge as soonas possible.Tel: 05 65 22 66 32

Could you offer a loving home to a dog in 2014 - think about adopting a rescue dog - or even foster??http://refugecaninlotois.wordpress.com/2013/12/31/hello-2014-bonne-annee/Jouals

More good news! Ghost is to be adopted by her foster family! Now called Etta, she is transformed from the stressed dog she was in the Refuge after her sad abandon by her previous owner.Fostering for the Refuge in Cahors is a good way to find out if a dog will settle in with you....http://refugecaninlotois.wordpress.com/2013/12/31/hello-2014-bonne-annee/Jouals

Marvellous news - Kena is to be adopted by her foster family, she has settled in so well and has quickly become a much loved family member.Jouals

Bravo Roby Roy! What a lucky pup. Good luck with him, I am sure he will settle in fine. By the way, the Refuge in Cahors can often organise help with transport arrangements to home dogs with new families who are further away.Happy New Year!Jouals
-
I can't see why any good refuge would limit where dogs are homed to, as long as they can do good checks and feel confident about new homes, and be able to follow up. We have had some very successful long distance adoptions. Are you nearer to Cahors Rob Roy? http//www.refugecaninlotois.wordpressJouals
