Shouldn't be dark at that time of the day

I flew out of Marrakech on Sunday morning and they didn't take much notice, lots of people coming through with 1.5 litres of water. Only 6 Dhm in town, but 22 in departure lounge, probably explains why. Flying out from Europe is still strictly all the 100 ml containers you can put in one small clear bag. You shouldn't need to wash your hair before reaching Morroco

Taxis to and from French airports
Kevinmc replied to Jacqui Too 's topic in Travelling to/from France
Limoge to Magnac Laval was €85 last year, probably more this year. Always taxis outside to meet flights; French provincial airports are no different to any other airport in Europe - taxis are nearly always there to meet flights, on the chance of a big trip. -
Dont arrive too early at the tunnel

7:30 in the evening of the penultimate day of the two week Easter holiday !! Try it next Saturday and see how easy it will be to get on board. Basic rules - it will be expensive on: 1. All school holidays and half terms 2. All Friday to Sunday crossings, because Saturday is rental change day All carriers will maximise their revenue on these days. -
Cheers Bellac, I received the same e-mail, hence the question. I thought they'd been publishing them already, but having re-read the message, I realise I've got it wrong again[:)] one down, three to go Kevin

Well, it's that time of year again. Does anyone have the passwords for the 2 for 1 Eurostar offer?

FLYING RYANAIR POST FEB 1ST - READ THIS
Kevinmc replied to AnOther's topic in Travelling to/from France
Zak, Don't count on it. I booked a Stansted/Limoge ticket last week for travel in April and only paid the fiver tax. They've upped it to a tenner since then, but I'll wait until the dust has settled in February. The undoubted publicity that will be generated in Feb 1 may lead to someone sorting the mess out in my favour. If not, I'll pay up. -
By and large, if it contains water, it will freeze. The higher the water content, the quicker it should be frozen.

Travelled over from Calais yesterday mid-morning. 3 trains an hour, all booths and auto check-ins working. Departed and arrived on time. No complaints, as usual. That only started when I hit the M20 and M25

Re the disabled question, check in like everyone else. If you need/want to go into the terminal, there are the usual disabled bays close to the door. When you make your way to the lanes to actually board the train is the point at which you can select to enter the lane which will deal with your needs. Though there's generally little need to do so, as you'll be out the other end in under an hour.

So is that a blue and a brown, or just a brown ?

Cheers booboo, No the card wasn't stolen, but allegedly cloned. When I've done everything they've asked of me - which is now providing the written police report - I'll pursue recovery of as much as possible. Maybe that's why they wanted the card back, to be sure I hadn't lost it.

I too have been a victim of illicit withdrawls on my CA card, but the withdrawls took place in the UK. Going through the procedure at the moment and awaiting the written crime report from Thames Valley police. although I hardly ever use the card in the UK, both incidents occeurred here, so the UK police are interested. However, I did find it peculiar that the villian spent €190 in Leeds and bought 3 tickets to a cinema in West London. I wonder if it's an up-cock on Mastercards part, charginf transactions to the wrong account. Unfortunately, I'm liable for the first €150, as I didn't subscribe to the extra service the banks offer to cover this sort of thing. I would concur that Sian is very helpful.

About 4 to 4.5 hours. Doddle of a drive. What day and time will you be driving?

How unusual - no-one has posted the passwords yet ????

This assumes that you would want to put a steak haché in a bun. Buns normally contain a circular disc of mechanically recovered meat, heavily padded with cereal and who knows what. I remember checking the label once on Tesco economy burgers - 70% MR chicken !!! Steak haché with a touch of moutarde and a cornichon or two is my option

Di, Check out http://www.amb-inde.fr/ It's in english too. I'm off to Delhi in 2 weeks. Had to get a tourist visa on my British passport from the High Commission in London. Cost £30 - had to be a postal order, no cards or cheques , plus 2 photos, plus special delivery envelopes there and back. The visa is multiple entry valid for 180 days. The form ask for 2 references in Uk and 2 in India. One of each will do. They posted mine back in less than a week. Seems the busiest time for them is September to March Just had a look at the form on the paris embassy site, very different format but much the same questions. http://www.amb-inde.fr/Con_Visa/Visa_Serv.html Handy site, everything in french and english I'm really looking forward to the trip now, Ruby Murray 3 times a day !!

Where's the issue in all of this. 30 years ago, as a spotty yuff, I was offered a contract. Here's a rule book. Prove that you've read it - a test. Prove that you know the basics - a test. You stick to the rule book and we'll give you a piece of paper that let's you use the road. Get it wrong and we'll penalise you. It's so simple - any who tells me they know better is a fool. You can be Michael Schumaker, but if your tyre blows at 140 mph - you're probably dead, so's granny, so are the kids - all the skill in the world won't save you. Don't kid yourself that you know best - you don't

The whole thing is in English on the Eurotunnel website.

Don't know where you're planning to build, but a coupls of miles north of Limoge is a place that builds log cabins. They literally build the whole thing and then strip it down again, so everything must be a good fit. No shortage of logs, it's right in the middle of the forest but you can see it . Fascinating to watch !! Just follow the N route rather than the A20

restaurants around Bellac-------Chateauponsac
Kevinmc replied to susie's topic in Central (Centre, Limousin, Auvergne)
Better to pop in and make a reservation - they can handle it as I've seen them deal with 2 parties of 8 at the same time, but most restaurants prefer big parties to book.
