Hi Rita, we do evening meals but request 24 hours notice, as we live in the country we like to use fresh products, we offer either French or English meals, it can be hard work but well worth it. Try to use local products if you can. regards Pauline

Penney, just a few points. use only brick, block or plastic, never, ever wood for short term boarder. wood..can cause problems, ringworm can live in such for upto 7 years. chairs..plastic, with vet bed, then can be cleaned daily. scratch posts, use little wooden logs, after each client burn on fire do not use for other cats. If you have rope posts then they must be changed after each client unless they are the long term boarder, never ever allow other cats the use such without changing the rope/carpet etc. grooming stuff..must clean between use, never ever share. cleaning materials..no Phenols ? spelling, ie, any product that turns white with water added, use only, parvoviricide or vircon, only use bleach if you really know what you are doing. two vital bits of equipment, a "woods" lamp for ringworm, USA does not look at this problem for export certificates,and a really good "scanner" for chips etc. good luck kind regards Pauline.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, the pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that have been ill and old are restored to health and vigour: those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again; just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: each misses someone very special, someone who was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Its bright eyes are intent; its eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, the pet breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted and when your special friend finally meet you cling together in joyous reunion: never to be parted agin. The happy kisses rain upon your face: your hands caress the beloved head; you look once again into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life but not from your heart. Stephen, there is possibility to obtain a 9 day guest permit from the local department for hunting and shooting but you have to nominate the dates and people concerned, my original shotgun/firearms certificate helped me to get the guns here but had to return the permit to the uk to the police. contary to what a lot of people say the exam is hard for us who do not speak the language that well, by the time you have thought of the name of the game in english, translated to french and said it, the said game has migrated ! I shoot clays here, duck and work my dogs on pheasant for the local shoot, however, be aware even clay shooting has a season ! invite the locals round whilst they are shooting even for a coffee and biscuits and discuss, contary to some comments not all hunters are drunk ! it is amazing how many french people are pro-hunting. Diane, why not go on the short route. dover, or tunnel, my friends travelled via BF, when their dog barked they asked them to return to the car deck, just think of the time of the day/night of the journey ( six plus hours !), night time is so much better naturally they sleep but during the day it could be a problem. regards Pauline
