Yes Idun - thought I had posted.......... I got back in touch with SEB and they said that a copy of the Attestation was all that was required so now don't need the S1.

Nomoss, They are not asking for this Attestation sur l'honneur so I don't want to complicate things.  It seems to me to be meaningless anyway.   They should know I am covered by the 70 figure on my Attestation.

Nomoss,  I think your corrections are right.  The girl has a French name but speaks excellent English so I don't know. I've had a look at the Attestation sur l'honneur but it's yet another form which is meaningless to me!   I obviously know my name/address but what is "[Faits ou circonstances à attester]" and "Fait pour servir et valoir ce que de droit." Overdose now.............

OK - Printed out an up to date Attestation which I'll carry around with me - that saves a search! The reason I'm doing this (which may not have been clear from the start) is that I have money saved in SEB Life International.   They have advised me to register my S1 with them.   This is what they say............. "From now on holders of the S1 are exempt from social charges on the gain element of withdrawals from assurance vie contracts.  They are however subject to a new charge, the ‘Prelevement de Solidarite’.  This is levied at a rate of 7.5%.  The net benefit of this change is 9.7%, so it is important to ensure that you are being charged the right rate when you make withdrawals.  It is imperative that holders of form S1 advise their assurance view providers in advance by way of an attestation that they are eligible for this change." Presumably this applies to other savings accounts which forum members have. I'm doing one step at a time here so will still pursue getting my 121/106/S1 or another slap in the face!

Hi Nomoss, All these forms.......... they all sound familiar in one way or another but the E121 is probably what I'm looking for,    I had to wait an extra 3 years for my pension so this would put the timing about right and I don't really remember filling anything in. At least over the w/end, I can go into the Ameli site, as you suggest and find the Attestation but is this the same as the E121/S1?, or maybe not the same but proves that I did originally have an E121/S1? Anyway, this would avoid all the complications if I can just provide the Attestation - right?

Thanks Idun, would never have thought of checking! I'll "speak to an agent" from next week then!

OK Mint - thanks.   The posthere is dreadful these days but I've got time.

Pomme - perhaps that's why I can't find it - I have heard so much about an S1 that I wasn't looking for an E106 but have scrolled down your tiny link and found it - thanks.

    S1/S106

OK pomme, but whichever, I think it's easier for me to phone and get them to send me whatever it was then.   I'll try again in the morning.

    S1/S106

Thanks anyway.   I've just tried to phone but there's just a virtual assistant (!), who wouldn't accept/understand my request so passed me onto a voice mail box but that was full! Perhaps it's after 4 pm over there!!   I'll have to keep trying but thanks anyway.

Idun, thanks for this.   I suppose this would be easier than me looking thru' a load of paperwork!   Do you think they would email me a copy or would that be too much to ask? Yes, I do receive the basic UK state pension.

Thanks Norman, I've been in to the link so I can see the Form to be filled in but is this the same as comes back to me - there's no mention of it being called an S1 or a 106.

I need to fill in an S1 for an Attestation for SEB Life International.   I understand that .........."From now on holders of the S1 are exempt from social charges on the gain element of withdrawals from assurance vie contracts..........."   hence the necessity to register the Attestation. I've been here for 17 years and have had cancer so I'm on 100% and don't pay for anything.   Trouble is that I don't know what this form looks like so where do I start looking.   Is there an example I can look at so that I know what I'm looking for?   I had cancer in the first year I was here so will it be around about 2003 in my files?

    Ear Wax

Thanks everyone for your sympathy and suggestions.   Cannot get the doctolib to geolocalise me but still trying.  The "baub" is the empty pear thingy - still working on it.   Also using Cérulyse.

    Ear Wax

I've become deaf in my left ear - used to be a common problem for me in UK - I just went to my surgery's nurse and she used a syringe. I washed my hair last week and got water in my ear which didn't clear so I've been deaf for nearly a week now.   As it was the w/end, I got some drops which I thought was advisable in the first instance.  Last Monday I went to the local health centre but no-one there to help as it was nearly lunchtime, and was told to phone.   In the meantime, I thought I would phone my doctor so got an appt for yesterday.   I was confident he would put me out of my misery but we just had a chat - he told me to continue with the drops then use a baub.   I'm astounded that I'm left with this misery as either a nurse or a doctor could change my life .......... I'm angry and bad tempered with this. Are doctors not allowed to syringe ears any more, are nurses not allowed to do simple procedures like this? I'm getting nowhere with the drops - not even a crackling and still angry and bad tempered. Any thoughts please?
  18. I'm very well aware of fake reviews and that people get "paid" for them but they are an indication.   As I'm in France I look at other French sites' reviews too - takes a lot of time but I think I get a pretty reasonable idea of what they are about.
  19. OK - thanks.   There are others which I'd like to look at but this does seem a good one. I agree about Amazon but I look at their sites for other people's reviews and star ratings.
  20. Thanks Cathar. Can't get your link to work and when I shortened it to just https://cdn.shopify.com/ I got "403 Forbidden".    I'll try anotherway but at that price, even used and discounted, it had better work [:)].    Amazon.fr gives the new version only one comment and it's a one *. Is it really necessary to have 2,000, 5,000 or even 10,000 blocked numbers?    I can't imagine needing that many.
  21. I was one of the first to subscribe to Bloctel.   Wonderful to start with but now the calls are worse than ever.    I'm going to look at this, Cathar. In the meantime, my problem is with 09 numbers.   I know they are most likely to be cheap running internet calls and are non-geographical but can anything else be found out about them? I'm now taking a note of these numbers and, from the 6 I've had so far today (it's now 16.40!) they are all different.    They never leave a message presumably because they could be traced and therefore, fined!    I now no longer answer my phone which is a bit inconvenient but most people know to send me an email anyway.   The phone is basically only used for emergency calls from my house.
  22. OK - now sorted........... have cleaned it all out.   The water in the cistern is clear, the bowl is clean and no grit or colour can be seen.   It's been fine for 2 days now.   It will always be a mystery now but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks to every one for helping with suggestions. Happy New Year!
  23. Theirere, - I've worked out what you said above!   I can't remember what I put down the loo last that wasn't the obvious.   Believe it was sick from the dog! Perhaps I should empty it, stop it from re-filling, clean it and start again? Happy Xmas to anyone reading this today!
  24. Hello everyone and thanks for spending time on my problem on Xmas Eve! Tancrède (beautiful cat!) I live alone but have a visitor over the Xmas period.   It's a big house and 8 people could live here, so don't think it's a problem of too much poo!   I have been doing DIY but only painting. Guardian - you're right    I have a number of other problems to deal with - don't know which is worse but I'll post another soon................
