Yes, I know we have the number but although I can read the posts fine, when we get lots of posts I do find it difficult to spot say 89 between 83 and 86, they start to all look alike! I think a trip to Spec savers might help! Gay

With a couple of very long threads at present and many people posting several time within those threads, its getting increasingly difficult to locate the posts in the list - is it possible to highlight the most recent post ? or even add the post number to the name (which is actually often wrong)?? Any other ideas? Any one else having the same trouble ? Gay

THe forum was unavailable again for a while this morning - I think these disappearances seem to coincide with 'down time' Gay -
You are hopeful Mazan, the request for a section about 'working in France' has even made it to the LF magazine but either I'm going blind or it hasn't appeared yet ! Good Luck Gay

Anyone know who's online?
Russethouse replied to Biereventre's topic in Finding/Owning French Property
That link always took a long time to load and now it seems so slow I loose interest ! ( I have ADSL too so I think in theory it should be OK speed wise) Lots of people would like a work/ business forum so just keep lobbying ! Regards Gay -
If you don't have any luck exchanging it I think Thomas Cook will give it to a charity for you. Gay

Replying to Postings (slowly)
Russethouse replied to salamander's topic in Finding/Owning French Property
In theory, using word is the answer not least (for me anyway) because you can use spell check. I've never got round to doing like that.... I'm far too hasty, although when I complained about the lack of spell check before I was advised to...the counsel of perfection! Gay -

Having previously posted giving the new subscription handler a pat on the back I now find my Dec Issue has not arrived and I'm in the UK ? Should I chase it up Eleanor? Have you a phone number for them ? Thanks Gay -
postal costs of goods ro France
Russethouse replied to hood's topic in Finding/Owning French Property
According to " International Postal Services for Business Users" post to Europe is over double the UK rate. ie 100 gr Uk = 41p 100gr Europe= 99p. I believe there did USED to be an over all rate for letters but this was abolished quite a while ago Hope that helps Gay -
Jen. Don't give up on the roses, experiments have found that pruning them with a hedge trimmer is just as effective as time consuming methods! Good Luck Gay

Maggie, This seems too obvious but surely there are a fair number of people on pre buying trips wanting to test the area for more than just a couple of weeks or even those that have left the UK and are searching for their own property. Might they be a good market? You will still need some one to keep a check though. Good Luck Gay
