Hello everyone - We're going to need a 6-month 3/4 bedroom fully furnished and equipped house to rent in the Gironde from 1st October to 31st March whilst we house hunt. Preferably in the Entre Deux Mers near Creon. Any ideas?

Seems from what you all say that it is possible to get 100% rebate for blood pressure pills. Does anyone know if the same applies to those for Cholestorol?

Thanks Coco. Do you know how he did it? Did his UK doctor give him a certficate or something when he went to live in France?

I understand that some "permanent" conditions qualify for 100% refund on medical treatment, hospitalisation (excluding meals) etc. Does this extend to medicines required and if so, are the pills to control high blood pressure and cholestorol available at the 100% rebate for E121 holders or everyone or no-one?

Had you thought of asking one of the UK legal firms who have a "French" department, such as Russell Cooke, if they have any call for a French resident UK qualified lawyer?

I seem to have started some debate with this!! Everyone has their story to tell - some good, some bad - I guess this is par for the course - as you say, I shall do my homework and then take a view - nevertheless, the websites you have given me are very useful as a pointer. Would be grateful if someone could tell me if cookers, fridges dishwashers etc are more or less expensive in France than England. Many thanks.
