Hi there   On this subject can any one offer any further advice?  We had our chimneys swept professionally last December (after purchasing our house) and received our certificate.  We do not live permanently in France (yet) and therefore have only lit a fire during last Christmas/New Year and this Easter.  Under these circumstances do we require to have them done again to meet nsurance requirements? Responses greatly appreciated.

Hi there. Does any one know of any good TROCs in 47?

I am planning to work from home in France as a beauty therapist (undergoing training at the moment which leads to an internationally recognised qualification). Does anyone have any experience of working from home as a beauty therapist or similar? Any advice on the highs and lows would be most welcome.

We are looking for a few reclaimed floorboards (we think they are chestnut). Can anyone advise? We are in 47 25km north of Agen.

Has anyone any tips on how to restore? Think they are chestnut and don't look as if they have ever been cleaned or treated .... in a few rooms the floorboards have been skimmed with cement and then covered lino, very fetching! Any advice much appreciated.

We have been looking for what seems forever for Le Chateau de ma mere and Le Gloirie de mon Pere! I have checked on the HMV website and cannot seem to locate these films. Hi there Has anyone had any first hand knowledge of the weeks course at the Chambre de Metiers? Is it all in French and do you have to pass an exam at the end of it? Can speak some French but I am not fluent by any means and am feeling slightly apprehensive! I want to work from home (SW France) as a beauty therapist. Any advice would be most welcome. thanks

We have bought a house in the SW France. In some of the rooms there is horrible pine ceilings! I don't know why but they seem to be really popular in France! Are they generally hiding a multitude of sins or is there a decent ceiling above? Does anyone have any advice/suggestions/ideas? Look forward hearing from you.
