I have one property in France, a hunting lodge in the charente which has no mortgage on it, I want to buy another property in 61 nomande so I will need to raise a mortgage any idears best way to get hold of this, ie put mortgage on existing to buy the new one, would like to hear your experiences advice,

  6. The patches are bleeding through due to the wood not being knotted before first coat of paint, you can use any oil based paint on the patches, this will seal them then paint it as normal, its easy when you know how.
  7. you need soft sand or building sand, am in 16 I go to Villefagnan, there is a builders merchants there that keep this sand, he will give you a shovel so you can load whatever you want, he also speaks English.

I think you mean the new harmonised colours, UK is falling in line with europe, we will be using cable that is the same, grey outer sleave with blue/brown inner, earth is still green/yellow sleaved, just be careful with lighting as the common will not be the same, cable is on sale now at all elec retailers and I think screwfix have it as well.

  12. I go over every 9 weeks with my van, have used seafrance P&O,and am going on Norfolk line next time, for a van you have to book by phone, except Norfolk line who have a box marked for a van. prices go up and down all the time so good luck
