1. Yet another example of a thread which started with a reasonable enquiry being hijacked by individuals who seem to 'police' this forum for their own purposes without contributing anything worthwhile! Perhaps a new Administration team ought to be considered in an effort to inject some new life into this tiresome banality. Wish I hadn't bothered to log in to see if it had improved somewhat!
2. Gary, I have a rural property nr Langon (approx 45 mins South of Bordeaux) which I may be in a position to rent out for 6 months at the end of next season. Please email me at [email protected] if you wish to discuss further. Regards Matt
3. Langon, South of Bordeaux, thanks
4. Having real trouble sourcing approx 40m2 of Hexagonal Tomettes Ancienne. The width of 10.5cm does not seem to be a problem (12cm tip to tip) but the thickness of 0.9cm does. Any advice appreciated....many thanks.
5. So work continues apace in renovating our farmhouse in Aquitaine which will have its own pool and be split into two x two bedroom holiday homes.. All bedrooms will be ensuite and there will be an option of renting the property as a whole ie. as a four bedroom house. The question is do I make each bedroom a double or consider a double and a twin in each apartment? Alternatively, I could make configure one apartment with two doubles and the other with a double and a twin! Decisions, decisions. Any views would be greatly appreciated!
6. Sorry Matty I got the wrong end of the stick. I thought you were looking to source the required chemicals. Apologies.
7. Thank you thank thank you. I will give them a try!
8.
Well, it is a long way away, but there is a place near here which makes all sorts of that stuff. I can have an ask if you wanna. Dimensions perhaps.
I wonder if the place you refer to is the same site that Loiseau has recommended. Either way, I will need to obtain the measurements from my builder. Many thanks for your response.

10. I have a property near Bordeaux which is currently being renovated and need to source some red hexagonal terracotta tiles to extend the old flooring on the ground floor. Enquiries with Brico Depot and Leroy Merlin have proved fruitless. Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated. (I do not have the measurements to hand but they are quite small, say 10 cm or so across). Thanks in advance.
11. Matt, I have a contact that in France that may be able to help. Can you please let me know what raw materials you require and in what sort of quantities. Also, where in France will you be based?
12. All, this is a long shot! Five professional males on a cycling trip during the 2013 Tour De France looking for accommodation in 5 separate rooms for a 3 night stay from Monday 8th July in Brittany, ideally in vicinity of St. Malo, Dinan and Fougeres. Any suggestions or reccomendations would be most gratefully received. Many thanks in hope rather than anticipation!
13. Many thanks for your responses. Glad I was thinking along the right lines. Now just need to close my eyes and shoot!
14. Hi all, My first post on here so apologies if this has been covered before. I need to transfer a lump sum of money from the UK into my French bank account in the next few weeks in order to kick start the redevelopment of our property in Aquitaine. Can anybody advise or give recommendations on the best money transfer brokers to use? Many thanks in anticipation.
