After reading you criteria of what you would like for your Family orientated holiday, i couldnt help but recommend a holiday i recently went on with my family. It was at a campsite in france, with a tour operator. The sites that they go to have lots of facilities to keep the children entertained. You mentioned that costing isnt an issue, however every penny saved is a bonus i imagine. The tour operator had a lot of offers available which you can find on there website

For begginers i would recommend a place called Val Thorens. There skii suns are nice and long, also very wide so its safe from crashing into people. There are a variety of ski runs as with every area, as Val Thorens is situated in a busy area, all runs lead back down into there.

I would recommend travelling with P&O as they are more reliable and if you are late for ferries or early then you can go on the next available one. They are also a nicer sailing.
