1. For those lack access to a steam roller or similar heavy metal I suggest reading the attached. For in line banking and forum passwords I would suggest changing those when you change PC anyway. http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24002 http://www.ehow.com/how_2288433_erase-data-mac-hard-drive.html http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1820
2. I live about 180 kilometres away but will probably be visiting friends in Tremolat, which is only 69 kms from you, some time in June. I have two ancient PCs - one of which was in use up to February this year. If you have not source on before then please post and I can bring them with me.
3. Last seen on round Lucas circular headlamps as fitted to Minis, Anglias Cortinas etc in the '60s. Production tolerances are so tight that there is no space for the claws anymore and almost every car has unique headlamps these days. I used to simply glue the lens converters back on with silicone glue and use a hair dryer to remove when I arrived home, not a good idea on plastic/polycarbonate headlamps. On older headlamps, which you could mask, just used to cut up the GB stickers the ferries were happy give away and mask the lights with them.
4.
Skeletal Me you mean, Patf. Well, perhaps when I have got rid of the rest which is another ten kilos, so that I am around the top end of the Body Mass Index range for my height. But it does pose problems with clothes as I have to get a complete new set of some stuff, so M and S visits or website trawls have become quite exciting. And getting rid of brand new but now far too big trousers is a wrench, but there we are. My weight loss is Emmaus's gain.
Congrats on weight loss but BMI is a crap measure of anything. Sir Steve Redgrave was obesive when he was rowing shoulder size to waiste makes more sense
5. Unless you enjoy watching 'Dial Me For Murder' and 'House of Wax' 1950s versions what is the point ? Post a bit more about what equipment you have for a more reasonded view .
6.
Either he is drunk or this is a Dutch forum as I dont understand a word!
Seemed lucid enough to me but then I used to autocross minis and my father spoke Flemish/Dutch about as well as I speak French.
7. I think it depends where you are starting from Castliion it is 8:19 to Calais via Rouen. If you start at say Sarlat you will get a different view.
8. Normally hit Rouen between noon and 3 pm  in both directions. There is a 4 kilometre section through the industrial zone up to the glass fibre cows roundabout  which can be slow but still roll through at a reaqsonable pace and do not queue for lights more than one change. Great thing is that if there is a problem there are several easy quick alternative routes.
9. I was tempted to post 'Only on Ryanair where anybody over 1 metres 80 is obliged to pay a surcharge on € 10 per cms' but thought better of it. I cannot remember height barriers on any car parks.
10. When my tools and I used to commute  anything that used heat such as wall paper strippers etc was left on a UK plug but the adapters I made up used the flex from a broken washing machine UK 13 amp sockets in ribber and French plugs.
11. 2 pin plug .35 mm pins centered at 1.9 mm apart 3 pin plug .40 mm pins centered at 1.9 mm apart Three pin socket will accept and grip 2 pin plug
12. Common topic on Satellite Forums notes below gvie a fair view of the topic. http://www.chameleonwebservices.co.uk/sky.html I think Satcure also cover it. NB I use DVD RW+ as recording machine is inmy office but playing machine is in lounge and have not gone HD yet.
13. It is a cunning marketing ploy. Open 10 pack - contains five small plasters which are useless to small to be any good - three which are round and of no use to anyone the wrong side of puberty and two which are just right. Unfortunately as you started to one decent sized wound but added two in the process you need to open a new pack.
14. A  little more information might help - Make and Model of TV - where purchased (UK or France) - how long ago - how are the neighbours TVs doing
15. Last piece of the jigsaw : http://www.taxis-de-france.com/professionnel/tarifstaxis.htm Suspect you may be scanning Ebay for a Bickerton or a folding Moulton after checking the prices. I do not visit Bergerac Airport often but cannot recall a taxi rank there might be worth asking the question about taxis and flights.
16. If they would strip wall paper at that price I would hire them. Last layer of new old house is old enough to have been glued with arsenic.
17. Check the free papers such as Para Vendu. They are sometimes listed as 'Striptease a Domicile'
18. I would say it was somewhere in the middle. I persuaded my insurer that that the UK invoice price plus € 2500 for the grief of sorting out ECC and paying for immatriculation was OK. Say € 14000 neither of us wanted a declared value of € 35000 which was what Stewart & Arden in Bordeaux wanted for an LHD Jaguar with the same kilometres and about the same age. There must be some discount for  RHD in France even if it has a full ECC
19. What do you want ? Tokenism  ?  Or people who just get on with the job irrespective of race gender or orientation ? As far as I am concearned most of  New Labour should have been taken outside and kicked till they bled true blue. I knew Barbara Castle and have met Shirley Williams and they both blow the doors off anything that is in the current apology for the Labour party.   As you cleary have a view of Nick Cleg what do you suggest he should have done ?  Given GB another six months in office in the hope that it would have exposed just how hollow he is.
20. If you used an insurance agent I suggest talking to them now. Come armed with a calculation of how much it would cost to replace the car with a similar RHD car. Make sure you have everything covered, cert of conformity, headlamps plus labour, new plates and registration taxes. You have no leaverage with the valuer but they may have some. Toutes risk versus third party rearly depends what happens if car is written off and how much extra it costs.
21. I would say INSEAD Business School in France and a stint with McKinseys was a site more likley to give you the contacts in Europe than a stint of bar work in Paris.
22. For what it is worth I have just paid € 21 for 15 minutes in the chair having a crown glued back in. Teach me to post about dentists charges.
23. Never been or likely to be a Daily Mail reader. Last experience was a good 15 years ago when I was looking for somewhere for my then 80 year old mother. Checked NHS finder locally for my old postcode and there are at least 15 adresses for dentists which have set up since I moved.
24. In have not found one in France http://www.chemence.com/index.php/uk/65/mitre-mate
25. These days if you ever pay me for tax advice I think you would regret it and I would certainly regret giving it. Given the lack of legally binding precident under French law who in their right minds wants to work with the system.
