  1. Oh dear heaven what a sweet pair ......... Give me a few days Jouals and I will post them on doglinks for you.  It's such a tall order sometimes to get two homed together but you just never know and so we must try.  It's interesting that it's usually the male who can't bare to be separated and invariably goes down hill if split from his lady - often the same parallel in humans curiously............ also look at poor Kazoo that you have also.  Such sorrow and yet they take courage from eachother I'm sure.

  2. Just had a call from Linda to say that Ezia had a run in the fields with the other dogs and is now crashed out on her bed fast asleep and very happy!  They love her and are amazed at how good she is AND how beautiful!  She has met the horses and sheep and was fine - good as gold all round and before she fell asleep Linda said she has now got a new shadow!  She loves her to bits and can't believe how lucky they are to have finally got her.  I will be posting some more pictures of her on here and also my blog page in the next few days.  I am so happy for this lovely lovely dog!

I get all my dog food from the top one and all my wormers and flea treatments from the second.  I have lots of dogs and so bulk orders come with free delivery and the products are second to none - in my opinion!

  4. Thanks Russethouse - will do!  Just heard from Diana folks!!  Dalco was a dream all the way home - had an hour long walk (he thought he'd died and gone to heaven!) and Diana is so in love with this dog he's never leaving she says, no matter what she has to do to keep him!!  He is bedded down in a large warm stable with piles of straw and blankets and was busy making himself a huge snug nest before taking a nap!! More updates will follow - but he's made himself right at home and being SUCH a good boy!  I am going to sleep with a smile on my face tonight!

  5. I'm thrilled thrilled thrilled!!!  I have eveything crossed for this deserving boy and await with baited breath to hear the follow ups from Diana.  He will always be extra special to me because, if it all goes well (let's be very positive!), he was the first one on my new blog and the first one to be homed from my new Blog!!....... couldn't happen to a more appropriate dog!  In case you all forget here is my link AGAIN!  May he be the first of many many more!

  6. From the vet, your local farm store - Point Vert - Gamme Vert etc.  Better than louse powder is Diatomacious Earth (bought on-line from the UK).  It is much more effective and contains no chemicals.  I got some louse powder from the vet for my hens and was shocked when I looked up the ingredients on Google........very very strong insecticides that I felt wasn't good for the birds when they preen their feathers.....  DE acts as a wormer as well as an external parasite eradication and is actually full of good minerals for the hens.  Only drawback is it's hard to get over here and quite expensive as yet - it will catch on eventually and become cheaper.  But it's widely available in the UK and if you go look on eBay there are lots of people who sell from there and send to France.  Be sure and get the 'Human' grade DE as the other stuff is used for pool filters!

  7. That's good news!  I can also verify that my friend Nicola in the Tarn is going to foster Muppet too!  Double good news.  However Muppet has a companion who also needs to be fostered and so Nicola is trying to contact someone else to help on that score..........would be lovely to get him away also.  I have one more possible contact but she's a long way from the dog in question and can't do it till after Christmas......... but it's not to be dismissed.  We have to find some good homes for these two asap so we can free up the foster 'mums' so they can take some more......!!!  More foster mums please - you make such a difference and buy vital live saving time for these dogs whilst homes can be found..... thank you!
