1. This company in Basingstoke has been around a long time. http://www.lhdplace.co.uk/ Les
2.
Just turn the appliance around the other way.
I tried that one, couldn't get the washing in the machine.
3. Thanks for the heads up. My drill is marked NF. I will make sure that I put the drill into reverse, when I want it to go forward, forewarned is forearmed.
4.

(Quoting Quillan)"I know it's a slight change in subject but you are also required to keep a spare set of bulbs and fuses in your car." I don't think this is true. You could be fined for having a blown bulb, but if you able to replace it immediately when stopped, you may get away with it.
(My bold) Which pretty much requires instant access to bulbs, ergo you need a bulb kit ... (?)
It may be sensible, but it's not a requirement, unlike the breathalyser and gilet.
5. "I know it's a slight change in subject but you are also required to keep a spare set of bulbs and fuses in your car." I don't think this is true. You could be fined for having a blown bulb, but if you able to replace it immediately when stopped, you may get away with it.
6. You can try THIS company, but my advice is to use a new email account just for this, they seem to spam you forever after you have had the quote.
7.
No sell by date on the ones I've seen Deb. Also we've been told that initially there will be the usual checking on all vehicles followed by indifference - as with the high vis jackets.
They require a valid use by date to be legal.
8. "In any event they seem fairly cheap and if its like the triangle and Hi-Vis waistcoats they will never see the light of day from the pocket in the boot" The testers will have to see the light of day at sometime, to check the use by date and for replacement.[:)]
9. Although, lot's of people do register their vehicles without being resident, the official version is no. "You can only register a car in the country where you normally live   or have permanent residence. You cannot   register your car in a country where you have a secondary residence or holiday house." http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/vehicles/registration/formalities/index_en.htm
10. "I am assuming that either there was no verification in place or your place is 100m2 and uninsulated " That's correct.
11. Mine was delivered free the next day, that was using the online Npower link as given earlier, after using the calculator,  inputing zero for existing insulation and going for the max m2 of 99. It gives 21 rolls @100mm & 26 rolls @170mm for a total depth of 270mm. You end up going to the "Build Centre" website to complete the order, but you can phone them instead of using their cra**y website.
12. "to try and get an affordable deal for a trip to the UK possibly with my big trailer if there is any cheap insulation left." I had 47 rolls delivered this week, the driver told me, they just could not get rid of it, seems no one wants to pay £1 a roll.[:D]
13. My reply was not directed at Stan, I do not have a problem with what he proposes to do, it was to someone, who has been a resident of France for 9 years and still registered with his UK doctor.
14. However you try and package it, you should not be registered at a British doctors practice, if resident in France.
15. I seem to remember that when the forum software changed in 2004, Teamedup was the only person to keep her number of previous posts, everyone else started again from zero.
16. To make up for my gaff above, here's a sample letter to send off. Change Address
17. T & C's can be found on the links, note the Intermarché card points do expire. http://www.intermarche.com/cartedefidelite_decouverte Bricomarché
18. You can use this site for some of them.  https://mdel.mon.service-public.fr/je-change-de-coordonnees.html Edit: I should have noticed that it was your UK address that you had changed[:$]
19.
So you didn't find my link helpful? I thought it gave the answer you wanted, without any jealousy
That may have been aimed at Another person;-))
20. You require the termite diagnostic check, it has nothing to do with the guarantee, when the inspection is done the certificate lasts for 6 months. If the sale is not completed in this time, you will require another inspection (normally done free). The price seems high for the diagnostics required in your case. You could get another estimate on this LINK
21. "On the other hand, there are some PCs (and some police forces) that seem to regard driving a foreign registered vehicle on British roads as a serious criminal offence, so you take your chance." I think this needs to be clarified, driving a foreign registered vehicle on British roads as a serious criminal offence with, by a UK resident.[:)]
