  1. Yes, we've bought raw food, BUT, some supermarket pet food has cochineal colourant in abundance. One of our dogs reacted with this - expensive vet account!
  2. Mystery solved The high vehicles tunnel will be the same diameter tube but a single level and one lane each direction. It will trend southwest to join the A12 some miles west of the route of the duplex tunnel and be shorter in length (7.5km, 4.7mi) according to the plan. Cofiroute officials have taken to publishing maps of the project without the second full height vehicles tunnel being shown and they call the project "under study." With a single lane each direction and trucks it may never be built.
  3. Hi, reading the article you pointed me to, the last part reads" "A second tunnelway for full height vehicles after the opening of the two level or duplex facility. The high vehicles tunnel will be the same diameter tube but a single level and one lane each direction. So, there we have it. No chance, I suspect!
  4. Hello I know the duplex is open allowing me to go from A13 through to South of Paris, but is the single, taller (not 2m limit) tunnel open to achieve the same end? Or does it, in fact exist?

  6. Hi. Unusually, we are to make a trip to SW corner, but via N Spain. As we can get to Portsmouth very easily after the UK visit, we were considering this crossing as an alternative to the Tunnel. On the web-site they tell of the kennel arrangements etc., so I wondered if anyone here had real first hand knowledge with dogs? It a 24 hour crossing, but they promise access to the dogs with a swipe card, exercise area etc. Our 3 border collies travel very well and don't seem at all phased by much and it would mean a much shorter drive than usual. Thanks Adrian
