  1. I read the post with amusement ,I now count myself a very lucky man to have been married to my wife for 40 years and hand on heart I would never have considered not having her around as our lives have been built on our life experiences. We are 24/7 together met many wonderful people both here and in England call me sad but I do not regret a moment.
  2. They grow ok here in 56(near Pontivy) because I picked some last year and made some GREAT jam. My sister living near Limoge has loads that she picks.By the way,the ones I picked last year were from one tree.
  3. Its been a lovely day here in 56 near Pontivy.19 to 21 degrees at times.Makes one feel a lot better.I think I suffer with SAD syndrome to be honest.
  4. A starter I like is Mozzerela cheese with sliced large Tomatoes and chopped fresh Basil. Very Rick Stein!

  8. Its kicked off then.French planes are over Libya and have fired at an armoured vehicle. Lets hope that Gaddafi is taken out this time around.
  9. I live in region 56 and would like to do some sea fishing.Has anyone any idea whether there are any charter boats for hire on the coast at Lorient/Port Louis? Anywhere in that neck of the woods would be ok.

    Drink driving

I know about the keys, but if your car was at your house surely you would be ok.Maybe some people have only one set of keys.Just because they have car keys with them, does not prove intent. Is is the same in UK?
  17. Last night during a discusion about the police whilst in a bar, myself and a few others were told by the innkeeper that not only can the police pull you whilst driving, you can also be pulled if you are walking and if found to be under the influence you could still lose your licence. Not only that we were told that the police in the UK have the same powers. We found it a bit hard to believe to say the least. Any thoughts would be welcome.

  25. I used to live not far from Sandwich(Deal). It will be a blow to the area.Years ago the coal mine and the Royal Marine barracks along with Pfizer meant that the unemployment was low. The area has been deteriorating for a while. The closing of Pfizer will only make it worse.A lot of the site has only been built recently.
