Will there still be the 24/48hr bit because the pets still have to have the worming tablet?Although like the tick treatment you would make sure they were ok with normal healthcare.

Just come back from a holiday in Greece and thinking of next year maybe Corsica.Any comments would be welcome .

Could someone tell me when I am liable for tax here.The figure of 21000 euros comes to mind.As I am not yet up to speed on the language yet,I cannot see any figures on my tax forms. I am now out of the UK tax system so hopefully I will be better off.We both just receive our company pensions.

Can they really ban Sat Nav's just because of the speed camera warnings ?.Surely it would be illegal? European court  comes to mind.I use mine quite a lot when I am travelling to places new.I know there are maps but Sat Navs are so much quicker.

Went to Oradour a while ago and found it a very moving experience indeed.I did not see all the village.I had to leave.

When I moved here in 2009 I hade some conifers that were very high (28).Some were very close to power lines.I was told that EDF would cut them down and bill me.I had them cut down by a local person. Last week I cut down my neighbours Laurel hedge,4 metres high.She gave permission because if I had contacted the Mayor,it would have been cut down at her expense.

We are having a bit of a do on wedding day with some English friends.Chilli and Curry etc.I will not watch the event because I have decided to be in charge of the drinks,but the ladies will watch it.

Joking aside we had a good day.As we all know it is about intrigating into the community. I have played petanquie for years so we went and joined in.It was refreshing to see a barbie and bar set up in the car park.Did they have an outside licence I wonder?

Had a good day today playing petanque in aid of Algerian vetrens assoc'.Had to partake in the the local beverage.

Saw and heard some at the weekend whilst in the Limosan down south.

Just paid 93 cents for 500 litres of fuel inc tax. Will it keep rising I wonder?

Brittany is very nice.We have lived here in the village since July 2009. We bought from an immoblier and signed at the Notaire.A member of staff translated and it all went ok. So far no regrets!

We have no Grandchildren so to us our 2 westies are our grand kids.They like nothing better than going upstairs to sleep on our king size bed when we go upstairs during the day. They have their own bed downstairs of course.As I am writing this,one dog is trying to kick my wife off of her chair. Are we sad do you think?

I can only say that what my wife and I have thought for ages that we must be strange. When we were in the UK and both working the only day we really had to ourselves was Sunday. When we retired and moved here we spend 24/7 together.We are ok with that. My wife has said I need to go to the bar on my own on a Wednesday to "get some male company".Who am I to disagree?
