  1. So....not many thus far ? @Betise....why would he? FWIW, having come very close to being disenfranchised altogether, I'm looking forward immensely to exercising my democratic right as a citoyenne ? It's no use complaining about things if you're not prepared to make the slightest effort to change them. What would/will seriously tick me off is if my preferred candidate is sabotaged i.e. assassinated before ever getting as far as the election. There's nothing remotely democratic about political hatchet jobs on the opposition! ALBF, do you honestly believe that the 'choice' in UK is better? I'd struggle to find the motivation to vote there, truly.

  2. Do we even know if people CAN reply? Maybe they are faced with the same problem.

  3. If you are over 65 you can go to any vaccination centre, no appointment needed. Castex announced some time ago that all vaccination centres are now obliged to give the booster, without RDV, to anyone over 65.

  4. We tried at our local pharmacy that did the two others, no slots till January. We took ourselves off to one of the walk in ones to the north of Nantes, queued 30mins in the cold and damp, no appointment needed, got our third booster that way. First time we had been to a centre, quite interesting to see the organisation to set your info checked, jabbed and the issue of the subsequent paperwork. Scanned in to the app to keep it valid. All done and dusted in about an hour.

  6. I doubt very much that 'society is broken' as in before 'it wasn't!! ' There has always been child abuse, murders, rapes etc. nothing has particularly changed in society. The huge difference now, I believe anyway, is the coverage given by media outlets including social media. A person , literally, cannot walk down the street without almost certainly being scrutinised by a camera. Never in history has the world been so scrutinised. It started really during the Vietnam war when atrocities were being filmed; The same, if not worse, atrocities were committed by the all combatant nations during the second World War but there were no cameras. Today everyone has a camera at the ready! There is so much coverage and publicity given to outrages I think it inevitable that people think society is worse than before. I doubt it, we just didn't know about it!!!

  7. "Former Danish Migration Minister Inger Støjberg has been sentenced to 60 days in prison after being convicted of illegally separating child brides from migrant men in 2016. The former Minister for Immigration and Integration, who served in the role from 2015 to 2019, was found guilty of violating the Ministerial Responsibility Act on Monday over her brief policy of separating couples — predominantly migrant men with underage wives — during the height of the European migrant crisis. Støjberg had separated 18 couples in 2016 after deciding migrant girls aged between 14 and 17 would not be accommodated in the same asylum reception facilities as their husbands, most of whom were adults. According to a report from the Danish broadcaster TV2, the separation of the couples was found to be contrary to Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and several points of Danish administrative law." Thus, those who seek to prevent paedophiles, must be banged up in gaol? Pardon me?
